Left Side Soreness

My left side seems to hurt more than my right. And I'm having trouble sleeping. Am I the one?

That is probably the side your port is sewn in to.

I don't know but today hasn't been a good day for me but maybe I'm expectung to much since I just had surgery yesterday. Just pain but I'm still trying to walk.

Are you using a small pillow to hold against your stomach? I found it really helpful the first couple days post-op. Also, make sure you are taking your pain meds on a schedule and not when you start to feel more pain because they will not work as well.

I had the left-side pain really badly the first week and a half... Couldn't even lie on that side. Felt like a major runner's cramp, just under my ribcage.

It's gas. My doc showed me this big gray ball of gas on my esophogram, in exactly the area that hurt... Take a lot of gas-x, make sure you walk a lot, and just give it time. It will go away...

That's exactly what it feels like. I just continue with the gas-x and walking, thanks
