When Did You Start To Feel Restriction?

Recommended Posts

I know everyone is different but I am just curious to know when you felt restriction. I have a 10 cc band and I currently have 5.5 cc's in. I don't feel any restriction at all. I make sure that I eat healthy but I feel like I am starving all of the time. I only had two fills so far.

Good restriction began at 6.5 cc's - 5months. I now have 7.6cc's. Good luck!

I reported for fills every 4 to 6 weeks. I felt good restriction after 3rd fill, probably 5cc, then I lost more, so had to get more put in, and have stayed in green zone by going to appointments. Currently have 7.2 in 10cc band. Feeling really good restriction. Around 400 calories and food no longer any interest to me. My PA said decent amount if back pressure this time during fill, so if lose restriction by next fill on July 6 we will do upper GI.

Well I don't get my first fill for 3 weeks from now and I am sooo hungry! Can't wait for May 31st. Hope I don't gain weight by then. Im 5 weeks in and lost 25 lbs but the past 2 days have been horrible.

I'm 2 1/2 yrs out and it took me 3 fills and 4 1/2 mths to get restriction. I felt like I failed yet another diet. I lost maybe 5 lbs that first 4 mths - only because I stepped up my exercise. I could still eat like a cow - and I did. Then, my first meal after my 3rd fill was like magic. I ate like 3 bites of chicken, 3 bites of baked potatoe and 3 bites of peas. And I was soooo full. I thought "Finally!"

You'll get there. I know, everybody has told you to be patient, but you really have no choice. I've lost everything but about 10 lbs (those are the HARDEST to get off)

Good luck!

Marci

Wow, that makes me feel so much better. And congratulations on your terrific weight loss. I guess I aught to be thankful I've lost 25lbs so far.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
