Doctors all differ,

Mine had me do clear liquids 3-4 days, then all liquids to two weeks out, then mushy foods for two weeks (the instruction here was anything i can smuch with my tounge or chew lightly), next two weeks soft foods (anything I can cut with a fork - no knives!). Then on to regular foods. So a 6 week routine.

My doctor is in Nashville. I had 2-3 days of liquids and then i could TRY mushies. If that went okay, I could do 2-3 days of that and then TRY soft foods...and so on. my post-op diet went pretty quickly.

All docs are different. My doc had me on the south beach super charged phase 1 for 14 days prior.

I'm not talking about soon post surgery I'm talking about month down the line. After all the recovery.

Every Dr. is different. I was on liquids for 4 weeks after surgery. Then I could go back to regular food. No mushie stage for me. Before surgery I just did 1 day liquid diet the day before surgery.
