When Can You Lie On Your Stomach?

It's my most comfortable position, and I'm afraid I won't be able to later... Are you able to?

I had surgery on a Tuesday and slept on my stomach on Wednesday night. If you assume what I call the Superman position, one leg straight and one leg up, it does take a little pressure off your stomach.

I think it was 3 or 4 days before I slept on my stomach after my surgery.

Same night of surgery. Not a problem.

About 2 weeks after surgery, now no problem.

hi there........i am laying on my stomach and its only been 3 weeks i have been doing it for half the time i have been home...........

I laid on my stomach appx 3 days after surgery. In the meantime, I laid in my side with a small pillow under my stomach. That tricked my body into thinking I was sleeping on my stomach. Good luck to getting a restful night of sleep.

me too..

I did not consciously lay on my stomach til about a week out, but my boyfriend told me when he came to bed a couple days after surgery and I was already asleep I was on my tummy. I felt completely fine sleeping on my left side (port is on right side) the day of surgery, which worked for me until I could sleep on my tummy. I Actually forced myself to sleep on my back the week prior to surgery because I did not know what would happen after surgery and wanted to be comfortable.

im so restless all night that im all over the place. lol. but, it was a few nights, even a full week before i felt comfy on my tummy. i dont sleep on my tummy but like to just lay on it a while. How on earth could you sleep forcing yourself to lay on your back? it would be hard Im thinking.
