Onto almost all normal foods' date=' 20.3 lbs down, smaller pants AND I had to tighten my bra all the way!!! Woot![/quote']

I am 16 days out and feeling great, down about 15 pounds which is less than I hoped but I can eat pretty much anything as long as I chew well, I don't have any fill and therefore no restriction really. The problem I have had is slow bowels from all the protien. So I think resolving that would drop about 5 more pounds lol. I am just starting to feel good enough for exercise, so I am getting on top of that this week and my first fill isn't until April 21, I wish I could move it up.

Brandi - did they tell you you would get a fill that day? I have my first appt on 4/19. I wonder if I'll get a fill or if they will schedule it then?

It will be my second trip back since surgery. My post-op was this past Tuesday and I scheduled my fill then.

Brandi18 i just had my 2 week follow up appointment so assuming the 19th would be yours you would make a fill appointment about 4 weeks after that. basically 6 weeks after you surgery is your first fill. hope this helps :)

I keep reading these posts

Saying 15 days out and 16 lbs down or 10 days out 9 lbs down and that you are unhappy with it? That is a lb a day! It is great! Be proud. I have also been told that amy weight loss before the second fill is really all you with little help from the band. Great job everyone!

That's awesome! I'm still on full liquids til Tuesday but I've had some mushies out of necessity at lunch yesterday and today. (out with kids and no soup). I've lost 10 lbs so far and wish it was more!

But--I'm feeling good and was able to hike about 7 miles with the kids yesterday without collapsing lol, so I guess that's a positive!!!!!!

I don't get a fill til 6 weeks out so it will be a bit.

Looking forward to losing weight--you'd think with the calorie restriction it would be falling off but not my body!!!!! Nope--I would have lived through the worst famine! Ha!

Hi, I am also 17 days post op. I have only lost 10lbs. Am I suppose to lose more without the fill? Im eating most soft foods and trying to keep calories below 800 so I am surprised I haven't lost more. My dr. said I can eat about a cup full of food at a time and I try to stay below that.

I do have some pain still in the port area. I cant bend so well and seems like when I do anything active I do hurt more and it still hurts a bit to drive. I will be off work till end of April but I feel so lazy doing nothing all day. Is this normal? My exercise is just walking cause of the slight pain.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
