You probably have some swelling, and are retaining fluids from the IV. If you are not in pain and able to drink fluids you are most likely fine. Keep watch for the things on your discharge instructions.

I have had on and off bloating that has not been painful, just uncomfortable.

Reminds me of being prego ...lol the tightening..

i had that earlier today ...lol but it went away , its only been 2 days so im sure by the end of the week it will be gone...i just cant manage the amount of Protein shakes right now im stuck on broth ...

i cant get the jello down it hurts but i did way more shake in 11 oz half breakfast and half afternoon and and two 8 oz cups of broth 1 sf pudding half lunch and half for dinner....

I'm on my 3rd post op day and my belly is tight not painful but some discomfort. I haven't tried jello but pudding very slow has been fine. I'm guessing my belly is swollen and gassy and hope it goes away soon.

My tummy gets really bloaty/tight after eating. I was able to do a full 11oz protein shake for breakfast, and just now had a small Greek yogurt and 6oz veggie broth. I cannot believe I am able to eat so little right now and not feel deprived. I even had to force myself to eat the yogurt and drink the broth.

I had the same problem almost immediately after surgery on Sunday night I called and was ok'd to try sleeping on my stomach and it has done wonders. Not saying I haven't been bloated since, but laying down for 5-10 minutes takes care of it. Best if luck to you!
