3 Days Post Op

I was banded on Valentine's Day :) but with every sip of something, i feel like the gas pains are right back at me. Is this normal? I'm not quite sure if its hunger i'm feeling or gas or pain or all three. Anyone ever go through this. I have waited 11 months for this surgery and I so want to be a success. Thanks for any help. Jackie

I had my band on the Monday, and I am having some pretty rough heartburn. I was given Pepcid while I was in the hospital, but they didnt tell me to continue. I think I may buy some. I hear ya though! I having a hard time deciphering feelings. I just cant eat what they want me too.

Hard to get those protein shakes down, the warm broth is so much better.

I'm a week out and still have some gas and burping. The motion and vibration of a car ride seems to help! Also try warm broth or tea to help things relax.

I'm 2 days post op...gas pains where bad yesterday but not to bad today. The thing that hurts the most is when I take a deep breath...its sorta like something is pressing on my chest is this normal?

It's all part of the Healing Process.....you had major surgery under full anesthesia.

Thank you b-52...I know my body went through a lot, just wanted to ease my mind. :)
