What will happen tomorrow?

I have been pre-op for 1 whole year, trying to lose 5% before they even let me meet with the surgeon.

So Tomorrow is the appointment, and I did not get there. What do you think will happen? I am so nervous. There is not much I can do about it now, is there?

p.s. I am reposting this in post op--hoping for a response, any response;)

I'll be brutely honest, If you can't lose 11 lbs in one year, I wonder if the band is going to do you any good.

There is a lot of sacrifice and deprivation involved. Will power is probably the most valuable asset in a

successful bander. The band, by itself, won't cause you to lose one pound. This is like a diet with a little

help. I'm not trying to be cruel, just honest. Talk to a respectable weight loss doctor and get some

guidelines to see if there isn't something you can do. At this time the band probably isn't it.

Finally, someone with an opinion! thanks. I started this with a friend and she got her band back in august. she has since lost 40lbs and asks me every week how its coming for me. i dont know. if tomorrow goes well, i will be banded. if not, not sure
