Hi, I was banded Oct. 14 th and got diarrhea 3 days later and have had it since. Today I am being tested for c-diff ( infection of the bowels) and won't know until Monday. I go about 11 times a day. I am nervous and just wondering if anyone personally knows about this. Thanks!

Wow..sorry u have to deal with this..I am a therapist so I see this often..it's a nasty bug that is in ur feces..if you don't live alone..well even if u do they key to getting rid of it any not spreading it is handwashing and cleaning things.mostly bathroom with bleach..its the only thing that kills it.it transfers very easily..this was one of my biggest fears when I went for my surgery..make sure u stay hydrated since u will be using the bathroom often..an antibiotic will clear it up. Hope this helps

No, but my daughter had runny bowels after banding due to liquids in, liquids out! Good luck to you, hope that you get your answers. Karen

Liquids out is normal when all you're taking in is liquids.
