Lump In the thoat

I everyone, I had my LB on Monday 8/15. Besides a couple od days of being very uncomfortable (which i expected). Last night i got a lump in my thoat, about where the Adams apples is. Its so annoying is there something going on here. I sure hope it doesn go on to much longer. It is not restriction - its way to high for that. Thank you!!

Call your doctor, please! After I had my surgery I had terrible gas pains, and everyone said it was normal. Not their fault, it was based on their personal experience. I knew it wasn't right. The last thing I thought it could be was restriction, right? WRONG! There was fluid in my band after surgery. . My Doctor also said their could be air in the band as well. I had the fluid removed and still had to spend 10 hours in the ER! It was worth it because I feel better. I am not saying this is the case with you, but whatever it is, don't rely on the forum, call your doctor!

yes, please call your doctor. you should not have any food stuck there as you are still on liquids. hope all is well!

Sorry all I think you misunderstood me. I have what feels like a lump in my throat, i can drink and there is not a blockage. I am doing rather fantasic to be honest. Just feels like there is like Flem or something there. I had googled this question and had many people say they had the same thing. Some for a long time some for just a few weeks. I am seeing the doctor today so i will report back. Thank you all so much!!

It's quite normal. During surgery you were intubated and that can cause some scar tissue in your throat, which - disgustingly enough - can 'catch' drippage from your nose, which means it's likely you do have phlegm in there. Drink some hot tea with honey to help clear it up.

Yep I agree,, It's something tied into the band, swelling, or above. Check with your Doctor, and see what he says.

Part of my stomach is pulled up over the band, and then stitched. I also hear this helps prevents slippage. I hope that's true.

I constantly feel like I have a knot in my throat, but that's me......

You will find out ! As long as you are clear, that's a plus.

Yes, please let us all know. It probably does have to do with the intubation, but I am sure your doctor can tell you exactly what it is. We're all waiting ;-)

Yes, indeed it was about the Flem from the incubation. And today its gone. It might come back until it heals completely. Thank you for your advice.
