I'm Never hungry ?

Hi I was recently banded on the 12th . I have only been hungry once since , I know thats probably good cuz I'm an eater lol sometimes just because I'd get bored . But even when I drink water the pain in my left shoulder hurts I walk and have gas come out both ends  . But still have the super fullness . I still haven't had a bm  yet either and I did take a exlax last night as I was coming to work this am. I didn't want to have to run in the middle of work . But still nothing I'm a little worried.:( When I layed down for bed last night felt like a wave in my chest was really strange and painfull in itself. Is this normal for anyone else or what?

Normal. Swelling often occurs when the band is placed therefore your appetite is MIA. It'll come back once the swelling goes down. Enjoy it! Per the lack of a BM, normal. You'll go much less than you ever did as you'll be taking in a lot less food. Just be sure to focus on getting your water in as well as your protein. Most importantly, rest.

I had it done on the 11th and I think all the things you are experiencing are normal, I have went thru some of the same things, my sister also had it done and experienced the same kinda things, good luck to ya, keep on keeping on and all will work its way out.

Yes, it's all normal. Get your water, enjoy the lack of hunger while you can. And once you get your pipes working again, watch out, because water in=water out and you'll probably have the exact opposite problem of the one you're having now!

I guess I'm still swollen since I have no fill yet and I'm not hungry. I really can only eat about 2 tablespoons of creamed Soup and feel gentle pressure if I eat more. I am trying to get my Water in. I was banded on May 12th. I get my first fill in a month.

I hope I don't die of hunger in a week or so when the swelling goes down! Will I be able to Bear it?

I've heard of people who still lose significant weight before a fill. I've lost 10 lbs since Mother's Day but that included 1 day of Clear liquids and so far the rest have been "full" liquids---Soups, Protein shakes, etc.

i just don't want the Hunger To come back. My hunger is like an Evil Monster that follows me around and haunts me all day long---it's been such a sweet dream to not be Starving the last week. It's so freaking awesome!

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to post answers and comments--it's really generous and helpful!

I haven't figured out the ticker thing yet.

Here's my numbers:

highest weight--in the Fall during testing ---205

Before liquid diet for 3 days ---------------------197

today (5 days past surgery) ---------------------187

I'm very short and 187 looks much bigger on me. I am very excited to be on this journey. i can feel this is the right path! yay.

hugs to all,

BandedKitten

Good luck with your date! Yes, we short sisters need help too! My BMI was certainly high..but my highest size was a 14/16..but on a short girl...that's tooooo big. Normal for most, but not for us!
