I have the same thing too. I was banded Feb 9th. I thought maybe I over did it. Not sure if it is my big stitch or the bandages but today I have more of a rib cage ache. I might call my nurse but I mentioned it to her and she didn't flag it.

Yes it's right under my left rib cage around my port. It feels like I drank to much water and went jogging. It hurts but goes away. I wonder if it's gas maybe?

the port incision is the slowest to heal and remain generally tender/sore the longest. I have read and my personal experience is that the gneral soreness lasted around 4 months post op. It did and does get less and less painful as time goes on. I do not even notice it anymore, but it used to sting when I did exercises even walking and when I started to do abdominal exercises it really let itself be known to me. Today nearly 6 months out, It doesn't even bother me.

Hi all - my nurse said it is a sign of over doing it.
