Fish oil...

I'm hesitant to ask questions anymore for the fear of being ridiculed for asking a question that may have all ready been asked, so Yes I did do a search for "Fish Oil" and didnt come up with anything so here goes:

Who among us takes Fish Oil...and if you do what brand or type do you take?

My husband takes these big honker ones that I know would get stuck in my band.

I have heard that you can puncture the capsule and drink the liquid out of it but that sounds nasty, I dont want fishy burps as it is so the thought of drinking fish oils sounds gross.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated...

Yeah--totally nasty sounding! I used to take NINE fish oils daily. The anti-inflammatory properties of a good fish oil totally outweigh what the drugs the MD's will give you can do. Needless to say, I can't do that now, but I still need it bad!

I ordered liquid fish oil. It has a lemony flavor so you can take it without barfing. I ordered it from netrition.com

I use the brand NOW and it's flavoured, banana strawberry. It's delicious. My 4 year old loves it!

Ph and it's liquid !!!!

I pop the big caps. It tastes like tuna in oil. Not something I really want to taste but something I can tolerate for the benefits.

Thanks every one... has anyone tried Krill oil? I hear it's better then fish oil and if you get "mega red" krill oil its a small tablet and is easier to swallow.

I take the MegaRed...NO PROBLEM! I don't have all of restriction right now but the pill is much smaller than those HUGE fishy ones and the is practically no taste at all. My doctor said that this will be fine as I get more restriction. It's alittle cheaper on vitacost.com but I find it sometimes on sale at Walmart and it usually has a $1 coupon inside the box. Its twice the cost of the fishy ones but SOOOO WORTH IT.

I take the Krill Oil as well and I have had no problems either. No after taste, small pill, LOVE it! If you're a Costco member then you can get 90 pills for about $20 vs 60 for $20 at Wal-Mart.

What is the fish oil supposed to do for you?
