  1. You do have friends here. Know that this is not a crutch....it's a tool. I now think more everyday about what I eat, Protein, etc.... than ever before. It's just now that I have something that helps me regulate volume. It is the best decision I ever made.
  2. I've lost about 90 pounds since getting lap-band on November 24th of last year.....today I got bras at Victoria's Secret. Yes, I paid way too much for two bras. But this has always been a place I could never shop. I did a happy dance in the dressing room.
  3. You are probably too tight. I put up with that for a month thinking I couldn't be too tight because my last fill was a small one. WRONG. They took just a tiny bit out and it made a huge difference. I can eat again and am satisfied again. I was going crazy only being able to take a few bites of things and then getting stuck. I would talk to your doctor's office.
  4. I'll be thinking about you, hope everything goes well.
  5. I am going through the same thing. I've never really seemed to have allergies that bothered me all that much but now that I am banded....if I am draining I can't eat. It's like it is too full already. I know, so gross. I'm taking psuedofed and trying to stay on top of it
  6. My doc says a half hour after...and ideally a half-hour before. However, they say if you are going to scrimp...scrimp on the time before the meal and not after
  7. I've had a lot of bruising lately too.....i never take my vitamins. Sounds like I'm going to have to suck it up. What did they say you would have to do if you are in fact Vitamin C deficient?
  8. First thing...from the looks of your profile picture you are gorgeous! Second....I used to feel the same way until I met the right guy...he loves me for who I am and would love me at any size. Don't get discouraged...you will find the right one and when you do all of the wrong ones suddenly make sense.
  9. I eat a Fiber One bar most days and that seems to work really well. I eat it as my planned snack in the evening, which helps curb my problem with the evening munchies. It takes like a treat, keeps me full.....and keeps things moving.
  10. I so agree with your point of view...I tell everyone because I always beat myself up when someone says they lose weight by just "eating right and exercising". And I have had a couple people say I was doing it the easy way and I just explain that I've never in my life though so much about every bite of food that I put in my mouth and that the band is a tool to help me with portion control.
  11. Bariatric Advantage, a Vitamin company, makes a chewey fish oil in a wild berry flavor. It is amazing....it tastes like a starburst. I almost consider it a treat.
