Mine was less than 48 hours after the surgeons office submitted it.

I'm not sure yet, but I can say my pre-op is scheduled for Jan 19. that is when they submit to insurance. I am already scheduled for Jan 27. My surgeon works with Tricare all the time and said that was PLENTY of time for approval.

17 days and waiting in Tampa Bay!

Mine too and you can check the status online....for tricare south its https://infocenter.humana-military.com/South/Bene/obs/infocenter.asp but if not I am sure you can just google "tricare referral status online"!!

my doc doesnt put in anything early until u have been approved by tricare

I was approved before I even decided to officially go for it. I had 2 pre-op Dr appts, the actual surgery, 2 post op appts (including my 3 month post op) and 6 fills all approved just about instantly.

Can anyone give me a timeframe of how long it took them to get the pending to approved from tricare prime south

One week and only because of Veteran day
