Hi My Name is Michelle and Im new to this forum. I'm getting my lap band on April 21,2011. I live in Dover Florida and my surgeon is Dr. Grossbard in Zepherhills Florida. I was wondering if any of you have had Dr Grossbard as your surgeon ? If you have please share your experiance with me. thanks in advance....

    Hey Michelle, I am also brand new to this website, I was reading your blog, and I was curious about your surgery date, from your experience do the plan the surgery dates ahead of time like that in most circumstances, I am just asking because I am a teacher and dont want to have my surgery during summer break I really want to lay out in the sun and be poolside, thanks for any help you can lend me, by the way congrats on your journey!

    No it's not um with ins I have to do the six month diet . So we know when that time is up. So we will have everything done and ready for that date...

    I LOVE DR Grossbard. He is understanding, because was a patient, too! I am 15 months out from surgery, and have met my goal. His office has great ladies working for him, many of which are or have been his patient,too. Dr G.,also, preformed my daughter's gallbladder surgery and her weight loss surgery. My son just started as his patient on Monday. I think you will be quite satisfied with DR Grossbard. Karen(kll724).

    Welcome Michelle! I live in Plant CIty and used Dr Aquila in Tampa. I have been banded just over 1 month and am SO glad I did!
