50lbs down!! 1st Goal !!

My first big goal was to lose 50lbs and I got there!! It felt like it took forever..but so glad that I did it! I feel so much better than I did 5 months ago. It hasnt been as easy as I thought it would be and I struggled through bandster hell but after 3 fills, 3x a week work oust and watching what I eat I think Im finally getting the hang of this lapband thing......for those of you just beginning and struggling..hand tough and keep your head up...the first few months for me was tough but patience, persistance and positive thinking and a little help from this great website ;) will get your to where you want to be! I am about half way to my weight loss goal so I am still in the game but it feels good to hit this weight loss!! I couldnt figure out how to post pictures on here so I just posted the before & after on my blog if you would like to see the difference 50lbs makes!!

Congrats on your weight loss! I looked at your before and after pictures and OMG, you look great!!!!!! When I was banded (on October 15, 2010), I was at almost the same starting weight as you (I think my weight the day of surgery was 301). I'm down almost 40 pounds and I feel great. It's so exciting to hear about everyone's success.

Congrats Nicole! I was banded 08/03/10, 5 months ago, and I have also lost 50 lbs. I am also 20 years older than you and don't look nearly as good, but so much better than I did. I am working on getting more active and trying to get back to the "RULES".

Keep up the good work!

Thanks everyone! @ Yetta...I didnt have restriction until November so I know how you feel..it was really hard to have no restriction but I still managed to lose weight...it is really hard for some people at first if you dont have restiction you just have to try an eat healthy and workout until you get restriction...I had some really rough days but it all goes so fast...you will her befor you know it.

We were banded the same week and you have earned the title of my Lapband Hero...congrats on such a great milestone! I'm right behind you...

Proud of you Nicole!! Way to go!!

We also were banded about the same time, I too am down 50 pounds..hard work, but totally worth it...I'm turning 50 in may and hope to be down another 35-40 pounds by then! Want to turn 50 looking "Fab"!

Once again, you look great!

WOW - CONGRATULATIONS. This is so wonderful. Let me tell you, I needed to see this. I was banded 4 weeks ago and have been depressed. I lost initial weight on the liquid diet, gained a few pounds back over the holidays, and now am back to 'normal'. I have 5cc's in an 11cc band and don't feel ANY restriction (my doc is doing another fill tomorrow). I'm following a very strict diet, but the weight is coming off soooooo slowly. And without feeling any restriction, it's just hard and has me questioning the whole thing. I'm glad to know it took a few fills for you to feel restriction. I hoping, hoping, hoping this happens to me. My 40th birthday is in May, so I've got 4 1/2 months and I'd really like to be down by 40 lbs!
