My doc. has me on just clear liquids for 24 hours after a fill. Then I can go to solid food. Seems different docs have different guidelines. I would call the office in the morning and check.

I am but i am so hungry right now i am nausous i do not know if it is the fill or not eating that is making me ill

I think the important thing is doing liquids as opposed to solid food while your band settles down after the fill. I think you could have some creamed soup (no chunks) or something similar to help with the hunger. My doctor didn't even require liquids after a fill. But call your doctor in the morning for clarification.

After a fill you are only supposed to have clear liquids for 24 hours then resume your normal diet. Chicken broth, sugarfree pops, jello, apple juice. Thats about it and water.

Every doctor's instructions are different. My doc told me just to "take it easy" for 12 hours after a fill.

In my experience, however, I need to be careful for a few days until I get a sense of how much restriction I have. Chew very well, wait between bites, etc.

My doctor is also in the "take it easy" camp. Now that I have pretty good restriction, I stick with FULL liquids (including protein shakes) after a fill for a day or so. Early in the game, I had no problem with soft foods.
