Oh Fluff, hang in there!! You can do this!! Just think of the road ahead of you and how it will all pay off! I'm sorry you're having a rough time, but you did day 1, so you are on your way! Good luck with your banding!!

My surgery is the same day and I only have to do 1 day pre-op of clear liquids tomorrow. So not looking forward to it! Did you try a cup of tea or black coffee? I know some doctors tell you no caffiene but mine said I didn't drink alot so I would be okay. The caffiene would help with the headache. Hope that helps!

I'm on day 7 of a clear liquid diet. You don't have to do it as long as me ... but day 3 and 4 were really not that bad. It helped to be working and away from the house where all the good food was. :]

I was banded 4 1/2 weeks ago. The liquid diet wasn't too bad for me, but the first day or two were the worst. I took a protein supplement suggested by TrueResults and my surgeon, called Protein Bullet. They have 42 grams of protein. The protein helped me not feel hungry, although I did crave alot of foods. I think there were 12 of the little bottles in the box and it cost $36 (I believe). A little pricey on my budget and they don't taste that great, but they really helped me. So, maybe you can try a supplement really high in protein. Good Luck to you.

P.S. I did lose at least 5 lbs on the liquid diet.

Hang in there girl!! I am down to the last 4 days of my 16 day liquid diet.. The first couple days were really hard. Now that I am down to the last week its really not that bad. I am to be banded this Fri. the 15th.. You can do it!! Really try to get your mind off of food. I know the first couple days I thought about food all the time. I just try to keep busy. I too have to cook for my family and that was rough.. Good thing is I am down 12 pounds.. YaY!!

Fluff, how are you today????

Ok do I have this right.. After the surgery I have to go on liquids for TWO WEEKS  OMG i will starve.. are you hungry during this phase? I can imagine that after the surgery you dont feel like eating for some time but I dont know if I'd last that long on liquids

So, today is day three of my clear liquids and tom. is surgery!!! YAY! I survived! no cheating! Yay again...and let me tell you that the first day was the worst..today much better..not really that hungry but am having heart burn..i will say that i hate jello. I had alittle bit yesterday but none today. so here's to a sucessful wonderful surgery!!!!

Congrats!!! Let us know how the surgery went!! Cant wait to hear of the great success you will have..

It does suck--you're right. But it's time-limited--and for a good cause.

You'll get through it. It is hard, but worth it.

Congratulations, cant wait to hear your success story..

:thumbup:YaY!!!! Glad to hear that you are doing good. I know there is some pain that comes with it. Real encouraging to hear you say that you would do again... Keep us posted!! Congratulations to your new journey.. 2 more days until mine begins...FRIDAY,, FRIDAY... Woo Hoo...

A word about post-op. follow the dr directions, this is the time you can loose lots of weight. When you get to the non clear foods try Egg Drop soup, lots of protiene. Also

I was not really that hungry those first few weeks it was more head hunger and having that feeling that I would never be able to eat again. I wish I had someone wispering in my ear: { You will be able to eat } So just take your time and follow the path, do not push real foods too soon, you will get to them eventually so take your time.

I am preparing myself for my pre-op tomorrow, and I am excited and nervous...I've been on the hunt for a good protein shake, and I've been taking 2 shakes a day for the past 3 days. Today I've been feeling super blah...not really hungry, but no energy...I know the liquid diet is going to be hard - I know this whole thing is going to be hard...but I have to do it. I was going through all the posts here, and Fluffy - I wish you a speedy recovery. My surgery is scheduled for the 25th, and I can't wait! Please keep us posted as to how things are coming along - I am cheering for you!!! You too Tabitha Lynn...
