My period has stopped....

So far I have lost 100lbs (from 283 to 183) in 11mos and have not had a period in the last 2 months. Is this normal?

you are probably not in menapause due to your age so i would say no, it probably isn't normal. there could be alot of different reasons, including the weight loss, so i would check with your doctor.

Definitely check with your ob/gyn.

In high school I lost about a hundred pounds in a year. I stopped having my period for about 16 months.

same happen to me ,have not had one in 4-5 months, just got it this month.do not care if i ever see it again.it is due to weight loss.i ask my doctor was i going through early menopause he says no.

And the flip side to that is, at 51, i was skipping several months (went from feb to may without). Now that I've lost 35 lbs, i've had a period the last 2 months! Go figure.
