Diarrhea?

Did anyone else get diarrhea after surgery? I'm 2 days post-op and my gut keeps rumbling and into the bathroom I go. And I have to be on clear liquids for two weeks. Anyone have this problem? I'm afraid to leave the house.

I had the opposite issue - I was very constipated for several days. It was a big relief when that issue finally "passed"

I had surgery on June 7, Monday and I had diarrhea that started up on Thursday. For me it only lasted a couple of days!! It is very common, it's posted all over the forum....good luck!

I had diarrhea during the entire two-weeks, pre-op, Atkins diet, then had it during the entire two-weeks of clear liquids. I had to go without eating all day at work because it was so bad. Luckily, it finally stopped when I was able to move to full liquids. Suffice it to say, I feel your pain.

I was banded on monday, June 28, I was like that yesterday was not a very pleasant event! But I am much better today, but I am having to down gas x like candy today!!

Yes, I'm the same. I like what someone else stated a while ago...squarts! It's the yuckiest thing, but glad the gas is getting out somehow. I'm just glad I'm not constipated.

You are only taking in liquids so that is what you are going to put out.

I was banded Tuesday 6/29/10 and I am VERY constipated. This is hrrible for me because I usually go 2 - 3 times a day. Trying to drink plenty of water, hopefully this will help.:tt1:
