I had my band done March 18. After I drink, I feel like I have to burp and can't. It causes some pain in my chest -- not unbearable but uncomfortable. Is there a way to stop this? Will this go away? It doesn't seem to matter how slowly I sip.

I get the same thing, especially after a fill. I have found walking around helps me burp. Also, the slower you drink the better. And when you get to solid food, take small bites and chew, chew chew.

Do you think it's gas? I had my surgery on the 18th as well, and I felt like that for the first 6 days. It's eased off now. Try a gax-x strip maybe.

I had that issue for about a week, and I now get it when I'm out riding the bike. It's getting better, though.
