The Official PORK Thread

Life got a little serious on me, so I'm here for a dose of therapy. Let's talk about pork.

Why does it have to be so good? Bacon should be a free food, like celery. Anyone else feel this way?

I love pork too! simmerred with a little water and alot of seasoning add some squash and it is mmmm good. So is there really such a thing as free food that we can eat alot of and not gaina pound?

Pork is wonderful if you are doing low carbs. I have a love/hate relationship with pork. My father cooked nothing but port for 1 whole week. Breakfast was bacon or sausage and for dinner he cooked pork chops, ribs, pig feet and to top it off pork roast. By the end of that week I was sick and disguested with pork. That was several years ago so I am over it now. But now my 12 year old wants to be a vegetarian. I wasn't buying that much pork because we primarily do turkey everything. Turkey burgers, spaghetti, chili and so on. Now I have to get my pork with an attitude, like I've done something wrong.

I WANT A BIG FAT HAM FOR THANKSGIVING.....it's too big, I need help eating it....

when i was a kid, about 5 or 6, we had a 'pet pig' named porky, we used to bring him 'slop' every weekend (he was kept at my dads friends farm)

i had so much fun over there looking at all his animals, feeding them, petting them. they were my friends. then one week we had eaten good ALLLLLL week then friday the parents had a party, they had everything, eveything PORK that is, the next morning, i exlaim with glee "WOW look at all the slop we have for porky!"

i still love pork though.

as a little league cheerleader we had a cheer,

this is to funny to NOT post:

(picture 5-6 year olds cheering)

PORK CHOP! PORK CHOP! greeezzzzy greeeezzzzy!!!

we can beat your team EASY EASY!

hehehehe now i want some pom poms!

mmmmm. I made tons of sausage balls for a work event and my house smelled like sausage for days. I love when you make the maple bacon and you can smell it everytime you walk in your house for the next week. I've decided anything with bacon and cheese involved should be considered gourmet. I even love fake bacon bits. And don't even get me started on fried pork chops....
