Hi All;
I've been on another forum for a while then heard about this one! I wanted to get gbs surgery but our friends at CIGNA doesn't cover it. They told me they DO cover LapBand, but, as the person at the other end of the phone emphatically stated "ONLY AS A MEDICAL NECESSITY."
Okay, I'm fine with that. One problem I have is my current doc doesn't believe in weight loss surgery, and said I need to eat less, eat more fish (my wife is from the Philippines - I already DO eat a lot of fish!)
Sooo.
I have an appointment with my wife's doctor. I'm simply going to tell her "It's like this ... you can support me, or I find another doctor who will. I'm going to have this done, so please work with me."
Another thing, if Cigna wants to play games with me, I will be more than happy to play! I will see a doctor on every little thing, every conceivable ache and pain I have - and it WILL be related to my weight. They will get so sick of hearing about me they will give me the LapBand just to get rid of me.
