Its been 1 week and 3 days since surgery and I'm down 10 lbs. So excited about this. But I am starting to feel a little depressed about food. In my mind I'm not going to be albe to eat the food I used to love in the quanity I used to love to eat it in. I know I did this sugery for a reason and I dont regret it for one moment but I do miss what I was able to used to do

I see you have recently had your sugery and I can relate, but I caution you to becareful. I was sleeved on Oct 8th and I remember eating just a few bites of bread on Halloween and few weeks later...it was Hawaiian Bread with spinanch dip and it was delicious, BUT it was also super painful once it hit my stomach. I was not ready and I just can not forget that feeling...it keeps be so far away from bread these days - which is a good thing, I guess. You will heal and you will be able to expand your diet...it takes time.
Hang in there, it gets better faster than you think. I had a hard time remembering that this is pretty major surgery, that takes time to heal and I make some mistakes during my recovery. Thankfully nothing major but I did overdo it a bit a few times.

I'm onto soft foods now--scrambled egg did well, as did refried black beans with a little cheese. Yay, real food!

3 months out and I'm losing all taste for food. I now because I have to. I don't really enjoy anything now. I hope this passes. I mean its good for my weight loss but it sucks to feel like I dont like my food all the time.

If you're week 5 and beyond and you're having issues with keeping food in comfortably, try Prilosec. It worked wonders for me.

Week 5 has been the best one yet! I am able to eat all kinds of foods now, still slowly but it's made a huge difference.

Mushies starts Wednesday, but I bought some organic, butternut squash and cinnamon baby food. It's worth a shot!

6 months out and my hair is falling out like crazy. I have gotten mixed reviews. My TRUE friends are happy for me. My so called friends say i look sick, too thin and unhealthy. I have yet to meet my goal weight of 130. My husband has seen only pics of me has he left TDY 2 weeks afetr surgery and should be coming home within 2 months. my goal was to be at 150 by the time he returned. Dr. appointment yesterday. All is good. 1/2 cup of food, normal. 2-2 1/2 pounds per week, normal. I guess I am normal for once! LOL

Well we are done moving. Still unpacking. Everything seems to be breaking down 6 mo. old refrigerator. Lost all food! bugs all over it was a second fridge. no telling when it stoped a week mabey.

Prayn I start loosing again..switched up foods and exercise. Hoping that will do the trick!!

Saw the Psych today and had my upper GI. Both went very well. Dr. Fine is a very nice Psych and I think I might continue to see him after surgery to help me with my love affair with food.

Post Op Update - Completed 5 days of clear liquids and on the 5th day of full liquids, 5 more days to go before I can have some blended food. Have lost 15 pounds so far just from January 8th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am 2yrs since I had the lap band . I lost 80 lbs but now I have gained back 10lbs I see myself eating more than a 1c--1 1/2 c of food : I have 6.5 cc in band should I be getting a fill

So terrified of the scale right now! =/ I haven't eaten any junk food.. no sweets.. hardly any carbs at all.. lots of protein (that's my breakfast and lunch every day)..yet, I'm just a little anxious. I guess after so many times of failing.. it's hard to expect anything else. I know this works and for now I'm just going to keep up what I'm doing. My mom told me it's working.. I guess we'll see tomorrow. *biting nails*

Got a baby bullet for Christmas from my parents...WOOHOO! Never thought I would be so excited to make baby food when I don't even have children!
