      Heather_8.1.14

She's quite aware. I'm basically on a protein shake/soft foods diet until my surgery next Friday. I saw her today for the final appt. All is well :)

  4. wao i really tho my weight lost eventually was going to speed up.. but nothing.. losing about 1 per week.. no bueno. i was hopping for an amazing weight loss story to post.. but no.. i guess i just have to look at thr positive in it.. at least im not gaining weight :)

    1. BladeFox

      BladeFox

I am the same way. No major weight losses since the first month out, just slow, slow, slow, and steady. No weight gains - good, but no major weight losses either.

  5. I went shopping this weekend and fit into size large tops. That is going from a size 2x to a size large in 3 months. Yippy!

  6. I'm a little bit worried. My husband is really suffering with stomach flu. My daughter and son in law had it last week. This morning I woke up with a queasy stomach and all I want is water. My protein shake made me feel ill. If I start vomiting, do I need to call my doctor?

    1. Chelly

      Chelly

      Yes vomiting is bad....

It can effect your staples inside.

Get Unjury protein chicken soup it has 20g of protein in it or some isopure drinks because they have 40g of protein in each bottle. They say they can be hard tasting but you get used to them.. You have to have protein. The last suggestion is have unflavored protein around to put in crystal light and get your protein that way when you are sick.

      Be well.

  7. So, I am back in school studying for my AA in Graphic Design. I will finish up next June. I am very excited! Working Full time and taking two classes every 5 weeks would not be possible without WLS. I have regained my self confidence and can do attitude. It is so nice not to feel defeated all of the time!

  9. Ok so T25 was a bust. I decided we couldn't afford it and my husband decided he couldn't do it. I will say I was too sore to keep up on day 3 from doing day 1& 2. We both decided to take a step back. We are doing hip-hop abs until we get our strength up. Then we will revisit T25 or something like it. Day 1 of hip-hop abs was fun and we both had a good sweat going.

  10. So I have been looking forward to getting into onederland but I have decided not to make my goals so far out of reach and just take it 10 at a time, and so I am really looking forward to hitting 240 which I am only 3 lbs away and then I will look forward to hitting 230? NO more big goals!!!

    1. pupichupi

      pupichupi

@BladeFox Thanks, and I hit 240 today so I am super excited, and yes I did steal your "0" idea, it is a great idea, so thanks for that!!! I always look forward to the finish and right now I have to look at the small things cause I know I have a ways to go. So baby steps first before I can run!!!

I'm worried that I'm eating the wrong thing so I'm trying to find out what other people are eating who are having success. Maybe you can just give me one day. Also was your break through a large weight loss or a small one?

  15. 40 lbs down, 8 weeks post-op! next goal: 255, to get my BMI under 40 :)

  16. To whom much is given, much is required. I feel so blessed to be placed in this position. Two year post sleever, 155 pounds down and my life quality is soooo amazing! Thank you Lord for this opportunity! It is now my turn to give back. I have found my passion through this journey. If you have any questions, feel free to message me. I am now a health coach and owner/operator of a nutrition club. Pre or Post-op weight loss, Weight loss stalls, etc. I want to help!

Everyone is nervous. Scared of the surgery itself. Possible pains/discomforts. And what if it fails. Been there. You'll be great. If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up anytime! :)

    2. Nychibberts

      Nychibberts

      That is awesome!!!

    3. tdubb

      tdubb

Thank you Nychibberts! It is definitely awesome. I just came back from Florida. I took my daughter to Universal Studios, Disney World and Lego Land all in one week! No back pain! No hip pain! No swollen ankles! NOTHING! I was able to ride everything with her! What a blessing! Even the airplane ride to and from. I did not require a seatbelt extension and I didn't make the person next to me uncomfortable. Love It!

  17. HELP!! i was never a sweets lover, but ever since i got sleeved sweets is one of the things i can eat normally without throwing up.. i lost weight but most of it from my pre op diet.. i lost about 7 lbs the first two weeks then 1lb per week after. I am so scared that this surgery will fail for me. I read so many great stories. . i need help! im eating so bad.. mostly sweets. ii cant stop eating.. im constantly hungry.. i eat to vomit then eat again. I feel like i failled.. i waited so long for this and today i am eating worst than before the surgery. i need advice. has anyone experienced this?

    1. BeagleLover

      BeagleLover

I am pre-op and diabetic. I would supplement the sweetness with Sweet N' Low or Splenda, if you want to cook something sweet.

    2. betty_s

      betty_s

try something like a quest bar. its sweet, taste like a treat(to me) and still has 20 grams of protein in a bar. its worth a shot. but like @terrydumont46 said, you should seek counseling.

    3. Skinnyana

      Skinnyana

thnx for the advice... yes i do need counseling. i will talk to my doctor about it.

    2. MissME

      MissME

Thank you!! I am so close to that 1st 100lbs! It is only the half way point for me while it is the finish line for others. I am so grateful to be where I am though. I lost a whole runway model.

    3. AuriP

      AuriP

The runway model thing made me laugh. Although that is kind of sad, to have to be that tall and skinny at the same time is just as bad as being obese. The majority of society doesn't look at it that way though. We all know that the majority of them have to work superhard to stay that thin.

Congrats on the loss of a whole runway model!

  21. So proud that I am actually working out 5-6 days a week. I never thought I would or could do it!
