I hate it when people post just to post.....

Michelle~ Sounds like you had a great dinner last night! Don't you just love it when you can throw food in a pan and voila, dinner! I am not a big drinker either, but all the drinks sound so yummy, I might have to try a few just for the fun of it! Lu~ DH hates the Cowboys with a passion (he is a Chicago boy)- walked by and he was watching the game last night, which surpried me and I thought of you! Sounds like the new stadium is nice! KC~ Good luck with the root canal - not fun! DD goes in to get her wisdom teeth removed on Sept 3, she is not very happy! G4E~ Glad to hear from you! Will keep you and your BIL in my thoughts and prayers. PJTP: I am a bit sore today, but not too bad. Not sure I will go for a run tonight, but might take a nice walk, just to get the muscles moving! One of my former students is getting married this afternoon, so off to her wedding. DD is going with so we ran into Macy's to get her a dress, of course they are having a huge sale, so I had to try some clothes on!!! NSV - size 14 pants! Woo Hoo and they were comfortable. I need to try on my school clothes from last spring and make sure I am going to have something to wear! Better start getting ready! BBL!

I think, and I could be wrong, that NSV stands for non-surgical victory.

So proud of you Gaby! Can you believe how far this group has come? I remember reading post of groups that were six months out and thinking, I hope I will be like that. Now here we are ... not quite six months but really successful. I did have a NSV...I went to see my hair stylist and she did not recognize me at first. c-r-a-z-y. The last time that happened to me, it was because I had gained so much weight. This time when it happened I was happy as opposed to beating myself up for letting myself get that size. So proud of us!

What is an NSV? It sounds good so I wish I had one. But no. I have some bad news.... We went back to my home town for the 4th and I wanted to do all my favorite things, some of which included food stops. We have a great lakeside corn dog stand and I ordered one...and ate it all. Then we went to the old ice cream stop. I was able to eat an entire chocolate kids cone. And for my son's birthday, I had steak (filet mignon) for the first time. Zero dumping. I am happy I could eat a bit of steak and actually eat a small amount of ice cream, but I am upset that I still craved the breaded corn dog and ice cream and that I actually ORDERED them. I haven't weighed myself yet (I'll do so in the morning), but I'm seriously in danger of sliding into old eating habits. At almost 5 months out, are any of feeling the food cravings come back and eating things that would have made you ill (dump) a month or two ago? I HUGELY enjoyed the cheats, but they are haunting me! Not to mention snacking on potato chips on the 13-hour drive.....

WARNING...NON-SCALE VICTORY (NSV) AHEAD! So I am out for my walk today, just going along, admiring the view of this beautiful day and minding my own business. Most of the walk was uneventful, outside of saying HI to a few people I would pass by here and there, until I made my way back home, a car came by and some TWENTYSOMETHING guy whistled out the window at me! ROFL. Wow, how long has it been since that has happened? I have no idea *grin*....but it certainly feels great! The funny thing was, I had nothing revealing or outstanding on...just a casual outfit of capris and matching top. Of course, they were a couple of sizes smaller. Heh.

NSV...NSV...NSV My little brother came to visit me today. Well, he's 26 but little to me. Anyway, he was showing off his new car to me and in the middle of him talking about all the great features the car came with, he just stopped. He gave me this look, then said;" Yenken, you really look like you've lost weight." My family does not know about my band. I told a bunch of my friends about but no one in my family. I just couldn't believe it. My li'l ole chasin the girls, need to have a benz but no furniture in his apartment, brother of mine noticed. I had one of the Kool-ade grins . That really meant a lot to me.
  10. Okay! The 17th it is!!! Anyone else available? Please join us! WE have to get a in touch with Snowgator! I hope she can come too!!! This is great news! I wondered if those tiny ones had arrived yet! Please tell Grandpa that I send my best wishes and I hope he gets his fill of hugs and smoochies from those sweet babies!!! Congrats on that NSV! :thumbup:I know how that is! I find it so frustrating that almost every pair of pants is a different size! Today I went to an interview wearing a size 16 and I had to keep pulling them up! IT was ugly! I am still hoping that it wasn't too obvious! BUT then I try on jeans and I have to buy a size 20! My thighs are huge and that is what makes jeans almost impossible to wear! I hate my thighs! Does Kohl's have nice dress pants?
  11. Wow! That's a great NSV! I have the worst batwing arms in the entire universe, so it will be NEVER before I wear a tank top! I'm hoping to have plastic surgery done... sometime! I know the scars from the arm lift are pretty ugly, but anything will be better than what I have now! I could easily wear a 18 blouse if my arms were not so bad. I wear an 18 pants, but a 2x shirt. The extra skin can be so discouraging!
  12. Yay, Renee!!!!!!!! Life is looking up for you! What's the old saying? -- So many men, so little time!! Go get 'em and enjoy! You ARE beautiful -- own it, girl! Good on you for your NSV, too!
  13. Adorkable....My weight yesterday morning was 175...3lbs down, which I think is a fluke but since I have been losing so slow lately I will take it! Much....Oh, how upset would I be????? I used to work in a hospital and I absolutely hate it when people make up their own rules. Totally pisses me off. My prayers are with ya. I met a boy(man?) this weekend. Actually I went hiking with my xboyfriend on Saturday morning, had a first date with another guy on Saturday night and another date with a different guy on Sunday night. I Have never dated more than one guy at a time in my life. Very stressful. The guy Sat night kissed me which shocked the hell out of me, but I figured "what the hell" and I joined in:-) He really likes me and has make lots of plans to see me again, soon. The Sunday night guy likes me too....but luckily he is out of town on business this week....whew!!! It's shocking to me that these guys think I am so beautiful.....when did that happen? It reminds me that I still look in the mirror and see the same fat girl regardless of how others see me. Time to start working through that emotional crap I guess. A NSV this weekend. When I hiked with my x boyfriend on Saturday we went for 7 miles and I totally kicked ass. I kept up with him (he, who is 6'4" and has hiked 5 fourteeners in the last month) and I could have gone even faster. I am so proud of myself. I haven't been keeping up with the posts very well, so sorry if I missed something important.
  14. Lap Dancer, Very well put! We do have to just take that leap of faith and do what we have to do! Paying for my surgery meant I lost my house. They were building it for me and it was the perfect home. But I spent part of my downpayment on my surgery. I do not think about it negatively! Because I wouldn't have enjoyed my new home if I continued to weigh what I did and feel as bad as I did. I feel like Fatwidow too, I hate to be left with no money in case of an emergency, but I know the quality of my life sucked. I'm so sad I don't get to meet you at the picnic! BUT I totally understand! Waiting for that new Grandbaby Girl is where I'd be too, if I were you! AND BEST OF all is your weight loss this week! Congrats! I hope I lose! Fatwidow, I know what it's like to be lonely. I had men look through me and past me for many years. But yesterday at work, this guy whom I think is just the cutest on earth, saw me and he smiled really big and said, "what's up Trouble?" he called me "Trouble." I replied, "Nothing much, what's up with you Trouble to the second power?" I know that was a nerdy thing to say, but I didn't know whatelse to say, besides, "You're hot! I'm hotter! Your place or mine?" Every head turned at the nurses' station and they looked to see who he was flirting with. When they looked, he said, "Did you see every one had to look to see who you were?" I replied in my sexiest, come and get me voice, "Yes Sir, I did!" Oh My Goodness, I needed a cigarette after that! Lap, Can I borrow your velvet handcuffs? Wait, I might have a pair of my own! Sorry! Seriously, I know lonely! But I also know that I have a long way to go before any man would enjoy being with me! BUT I'm on my way and closer than I was 4 months ago! Also know that I haven't felt this good in 20 years. I have so much energy and I can do things I haven't done forever! I'm so happy I got my band! Mini! Great news for your Son! That is wonderful news for all of you. Your Son will benefit from his new surroundings and you and Dad will too. Being able to work 3 - 12's and not be totally exhausted afterwards is the best NSV yet! I can't wait til you have your NSV's! Brandy! You're a Mom and Mom's make the best multi-taskers! I'm so glad you're going to be at Red Robin's! I can't wait to see everyone again! Bahotmamma! I'll stay off the road only because I know you're daughter is going to be so excited driving that new vehicle - she might not pay attention! We got my daughter a new car for Christmas after high school graduation. I was so excited, I couldn't wait for Christmas to give it to her! I had to drive to her friends' house at 10pm the night I got to town to give her the car. The sad thing is we had it parked in some friends' garage and they have two teen-age boys and the poor guys thought it was for them! AND I have to say, you're lucky to have that man of your's chasing you! Enjoy being caught Girlie! Munchkin! You pretty lady, You! I have to tell everyone here, I think you're adorable! I hope I get to see you again sometime! AFTER you get your feeties fixed! Mal! I got to buy new undies last night in a size 20!!! Wow! Can you believe that? did you really want to know that? Probably not! But I had to share! Well Guys, I figured out how many minutes I worked out in the Month of May and it totaled 1207.18 mins! Can you believe that? Me? Working out? NO WAY! Not Ms D. Slowsky! The Slug of Littleton! The Slouth of Colorado! NO WAY Jose! YES WAY!!! AND I rode 207 miles! I could have gone from Littleton to Vail and back again! AMAZING! FREAKING AMAZING! OKay, I gotta go now and dream of Mr. Dreamy! Hugs! dee~
  15. Hey! Does anyone think those pink peeps are Band Friendly? I just wondered! I actually hate those things, but I called you all "Peeps" so I wondered if you are all Band Friendly! Finally, the end of my long day! An extra shift is a BIG NSV for me! Previously, I would never work 3 - 12's in a row and if we were extra busy and I had to go in on call, I made sure it was not backed up against my long stretch on! I would have died! WELL, I just finished working my 3rd - 12 and I'm going back on Saturday to do a 4th this week. It may not sound like much, but last night I was there til 9pm and tonight til 8pm. I get there at 620am. After work tonight, I went to Lane Bryant to get some new undies! A smaller size! Yeah BABY! Hi Fatwidow! I remember you really well! Nice to see you're back. I remember we talked previously about having the Band when your BMI is high? Mine was over 60 when I had my surgery. I have done very well and haven't regretted my choice once. The thing that made me choose the band is because there is no cutting of the stomach. RNY aka Gastric Bypass and the Vertical Gastric Sleeve both have to cut the stomach. IF my band failed, I would try to do it without another surgery. IF I found I couldn't make it on my own, I'd get the sleeve. BUT I would be very afraid of it because of the cutting of the stomach. The risks are higher when your stomach is cut. That is just my opinion. My insurance insisted that the Band wouldn't be a good choice because the weight loss is too slow and I have so much to lose. I have had several friends get RNY. One is totally disabled in a nursing home due to problems related to her surgery. She's 38 years old. Another weighed almost 500lbs and she had her surgery last June. Almost a year ago and she's only lost 90lbs. I can't say that's bad, but it's not necessarily quick! The band is slower, that is usually true, but it's not the case with everyone. Every person is different, regardless of the surgery they choose. It has to be your decision. Go to Obesity Help and read some of the posts on each forum. Ask them questions about their surgery... read about each procedure and the pros and cons. Good Luck! Mini! I think my fill is good. I'll be ready by the 19th of June for my next one, but for now, this one is doing it's job! I don't like to be too tight, I try to listen carefully to my body and stop when I get my runny nose (my soft sign). Mini, did you call and get a good rate at the Holiday Inn Select? Deb! I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Select in Parker several times. I stayed there 3 nights in a row during a blizzard 12/06. I work at the hospital in Parker and they couldn't get nurses in and we couldn't get home, so the hospital paid for us to stay there for 3 nights. They drove us there each evening and picked us up each morning. The beds are ultra comfy and the rooms are lovely and very clean. I then stayed there again during a spring storm and things were just as comfy and nice. I read on here where someone, I am sorry, I can't remember who, stayed at the hotel and they went out of their way to treat her nice. She had lost her pre and post-op meds and needed the enema for the night before surgery and her pain meds for after the surgery. She didn't have a car since she flew in and came by taxi. Someone from the hotel went to Walgreens and got the meds for her. I thought that was so nice! Mal! How's it going Sweety? Anita! Are you going to be at Red Robin's next week? Michelle! Lovegirl! How's life? Don't forget Peeps, Red Robin June 11th, Wednesday @ 7pm at the Red Robin's at Arapahoe and I-25. Hugs to all! dee~

PHYL - You are still our tech QUEEN - Cheri is the tech queen on how our body burns foods - carbs fat Protein etc ;0) Ya Bella was running playing w/Sheba - Lucky Sheba does like Bella - but HATED Ryder - ya her collar was $10 - a waste - hell she couldn't sniff to pee w/it on - and she has left her stiches alone - goes back in 10 to get them taken out You are going to have to get a seat belt for her - she's going to jump out or cause you to get in an accident. Yep Coach at the outlet in LV ;0). Great - Glad you got your purse - I want a B Marcowsky (sp) but he had dark interior and I like the lighter ones - easier to find your stuff - 111111 Julie - Getting ready for wedding already... 300 pple - omg - I thought it was going to be a small one - You are doing this all by yourself ???? Linda - The last 3 days have been my days off exercise - but I go in the morning :0) and I did walk the mall today and tried on tons of clothes - my legs hurt Julie Hugs on your shoulder I bet you are sick and tired of being sick and tired. [QUOTE=peascorps;1505759]Hi guys~ Thanks for well wishes. We leave tomorrow morning early. I have to be creative with packing since we are going in small plane. Have to pack in small duffels and has to be light. (tricky) Mom's bday is the 17th and I got lots of useful stuff at Bed, bath and Beyond. (things that were getting worn out, but are expensive and we all drag our feet to replace.) A lot of their tablecloths and placemats are 50% off. They had a Williamsburg- reversible placemats and matching tablecloth one that is usually $8/each $3- got her 12. She will appreciate a gift that gets used. Dad gets her Chanel #5 every occasion (the only perfume she uses). She is really hard to buy for. She has gained some weight this last year with Dad sick, ~ 50 lbs and I know clothes is a touchy subject for her. So don't want to go there. DH took Nels to TKD this morning. Acted like he needed a gold medal or something- urrrghhhhh. He has NO idea what i do every day to get that kid ready and to and fro. I just wanted ONE morning alone- that's ALL i asked for. And... I got him up, got him Breakfast, got him to brush teeth and get dressed. All he had to do was drive there! Men. Just don't get it sometimes. I got my way, and in the end... that's all that matters. Janet, yeah, I will be one of 3 classroom moms. I "adopted" the class ($200) and that goes to supplies the teacher needs. They put a little note on the wall is all. I will be able to help when I can. I don't want work full time, just PT will be enough. Not sure I will find it. I live in a SMALL town. There is no bariatric "program" at the hospital (though that would be a dream job). Just two surgeons who happen to do a few RNY and bands every once in a while. Really sad- very poor follow up here. (which is why I went to a different city for my surgery) I don't want a job with a lot of management responsibility- I like to be a NP, take care of patients, but have no desire to run an office. (which is why I won't open up my own private practice). Insurance these days is a NIGHTMARE to deal with. I want to go to 20 hours in an ER or urgent care or family practice. But not take my job home with me every day. I better go pack- need to hide the toys I got before someone sees them! Will CBL. Hugs to you all- will write more later. <having a hot flash> laura Laura - Ya why is it when men watch their kids it's called babysitting ??? They don't call it babysitting when we take care of the kids... Great Idea for Mom's Bday Presents ;0) - She will love them Safe trip tomorrow ... GREAT - Ya isn't is so great to be able to do stuff that we use to couldn't do !!! WTG NSV Melissa - Glad you weren't hurt - would have love to seen it ;0) [QUOTE=ocotillo;1505858]Sorry about the bruise, but I am glad to hear you are doing well. It's good to hear you up beat. Hope the movie was really good! Phyl, I'm sorry to hear you are still having trouble with your back. Hope that improves soon. Sounds like the therapy is helping. Zoey is young one and they do tend to act up now and then. She is so cute, it's hard to resist letting them get away with everything. Do you harness her in the basket? Lori, I've been to Park City and yep, it's hilly. It's very pretty there and I really liked it better than SLC becauce SLC was socked in and had snow and fog. Park City was sunny and clear. It was one of those inversion things. Yes, I will be in Vegas. Laura, why don't you ship the bulky stuff to your mom. It will get there and you won't have to worry about stuffing it all in a small place. Your mom will really appreciate you being there and helping out. And I agree, most men don't get how much work we do to make their lives easier. Some days I want to rebel and just lay around all day. Of course, then nothing gets done. Julie, is this your DD's wedding? I forgot what date it was. I can't even imagine 300 people at a wedding let along trying to make that amount of food for them. If I was already retired, I'd come help. You talk about me being busy, you stay pretty busy yourself. Jessica, a test on the first day? Is that so they can judge what levels you are already? Janet, or should I say coach Janet. Didn't do formal exercise on Thursday, but I worked with some hand weights while I was reading posts, Friday I did my pilates machine (can't do a full session yet, but did get on it and worked out about 20 minutes). I also did 6 flights of stairs at work and thought my legs had turned to spaghetti. Today DH and I walked 3 miles (1 hours) over to my sisters. All of my muscles are sore from the work outs to various parts. I guess I'm finally getting started on getting off my butt and doing something. But as usual, the tingly foot thing has started but I'm not going to let it stop me. I have to be in better shape for Argentina and I've got 2 months to get there. I think I need a nap...it is Saturday and I can nap if I want, right? Laundry is started and watering is happening. I need to go to the store, but that can wait a while. Okay, nap sounds good. See Julie, I do take it easy now and then. Later Eva Eva You might not get formal exercise - but girl all that you do does count some.. Yep you can nap - you are a grown up - I wanted to - but Bella kept kissing me.. [QUOTE=ifyourstomachoffendsyou;1505875]Walked an hr this morning and have been working in yard ever since. (7:15am-1pm). Just stopped to eat and check LBT. Janet, the fiber and soluble fiber are supposed to help with cholesterol. This is going to be gross. Consider yourself warned. For most people Fiber helps them have BMs. All I can say is I have to drink unbelievable amounts of liquid to wash it through and now I'm constantly on edge to see if I plugged the toilet. Fiber expands and so do my intestines. It can also create gas. I had such bad gas yesterday I had to lay down in hot water to relieve the pain. One side of my stomach was actually sticking up (not the side with the band) and I could literally push it in like pushing on a balloon and watching the air bulge out elsewhere. My husband started following me around with the Lysol air freshener. If I didn't use the Miralax, I'd be backed up to my throat. My body will adjust somewhat (I hope). Especially before school starts. Nothing like gassing out my students. I think I'll pay a child to take the blame. Laura, have a great trip. Lori, sounds like a fun time shopping, and plenty of exercise. Gotta get back out and finish watering plants. We had a huge rain early this week and none since and we're supposed to be moving into a 90 degree week with abolutely no rain. Gotta get my flowers prepared. Cheri Cheri - too funny about the gas ;0) Try some gas x strips ;0) Charlene - Hugs on your carb attach - I got a tiganello small cross body (tan) $34 from Marshalls last week - Like I told Great - I really do want B Marcowsky bag - love the cell phone pocket - but don't like his interiors - Did you see the camoflage bag on QVC tonite - loved it - but it would only go w/a couple outfits - didn't get it - I've had QVC on all day - got some of those women in control pants .. Joyce - yep some days we just twitter :0) Cheri I have heard that Inception was a good movie but you gotta pay attention and see it more than once Well gang - I am typing this in word ;0) don't want to lose it ;0) Had hair cut this morning - I now have bangs ;0) my face as gotten so long - she cut shorter side bangs - but when I came home I made them in to full bangs - can wear them both ways. Went to Macy's (had 20% coupons) Saved $50 ;0) got 2 pair on INC pants that fit like a glove - one in peities to wear w/flats and one regular to wear w/heals - Oh ya got a pair of Tiharri (sp) pants - size 0 and they are lose ;0) These were on the clearance rack a Karen Kane blouse gray w/sequines on the front these were on clearance too - then went to the shoe department - I want ballerina flats but most make my 10's look so big and fat - found some Stan Weissman for like $150 (NOPE) - found a pair of Joan & David $92 for $27 ... and they look good on my feet.. Got 2 bra's at Penny's and then came home - That's been my day ;0)

OK Girls....this is going to be a "Me" post. Don't have time to talk much but I did get caught up on all your posts since being gone. Sad to say, I am about ready to be on my way out the door again until next Tuesday. Great NSV a bit ago. We have been having a very hot, hot spell. I just spent 2.5 hours in the hot sun tending to my flower beds and enjoyed it. No sweating, no passing out, no passing away. And, all this at 97 degrees. 2 yrs ago DH would have been planning a funeral (a very eloquent one, I would hope). Anyway, love you all. Driving to the lake this afternoon with puppa. 8am dental appt and only 27 miles from lake place but 70 from home. That's where I want to be anyway when I am recouping from this next procedure (s). I see this entire process not a lot different than getting to goal. Hurdles to jump, pain to be gone through, etc. I sooooooooooooooooooo miss you guys. Told DH today that I am going to try to find a way to get internet up there. I'm at a loss on how to do it. I think I should look into the phone thing and hook it up to laptop? Eva? Would that be a possibility????? OK...gotta run. Thanks for all the well-wishes with this mouth of mine. Protein shakes for a few days. I am one that misses chewing and cannot stand to miss a meal. Boohoo...poor me! I feel awful not talking to all of you and responding to your posts. Thanks for sharing the photos, Julie. Nice job. I also love that shade of green. Talk to you all soon. Sending the love

Janet - help. I have not lost anything for 5 days. Is this a plateau - or am I overreacting? ( I think I am overreacting, and just want someone to tell me that!):wink2: I continue to be good with the food (although yesterday I just felt SO hungry), and eating 200 less cals a day on the days I cannot exercise or do any physical activity (this is normally the amount of exercise I would do). As an NSV - I was also able to fit into a pair of jeans which I bought 3 months ago, but could not make meet in the middle to do up! I suppose my question is, do you just weigh weekly, or look at your monthly total. If I go on monthly totals, I think 9lbs in one month is fine. Its all a bit fits and starts, and i suppose I am looking for reassurance. Everyone - please feel free to give your views too - I would really like to understand how this works for different people so that I can educate myself and not lose hope. I've been here before where things slowed down, so I think, oh..a bar of chocolate can't hurt, because I'm not losing anything anyway... and suddenly its all gone down the pan, and I'm still fat and unhappy. Hope you can give me some wise words - I think the answer is not to weigh everyday and to review what I did if I do not lose by my next weight in date...:tongue2: Mx

Julie WTG - NSV (non scale victory) craweling around on your hands & knees playing w/Mimi :0)... Ya I have recouped - at work and since the system is only up to 1/2 potential - I am only working to 1/2 of my potential :0)... Suggestion on your steel cut oat - makes with water only and add splenda brown sugar to it - I only make single serving 1.5 c water (zero caloires) to .25 c oats (150 cal I think if I remember correctly) - I add a little brown sugar splenda (less calories) and cinnamon.. Cook on low for 25/30 mins and yes they are chewier than the instant kind - I have made the reg old fashion oats

The photos look great Janet!! I can't wait til I have some like that!! I had a great NSV yesterday, went shopping, went into a normal store, GAP, and bought a T shirt a size XL but still it was a normal store!! I bought it thinking it would fit down the road and it was incentive, I've not bought something in a NORMAL store in years!! I tried it on at home and IT FIT!!!!!!!!!!! I think it's snug but my daughter, husband and friend all say no that's the way it's supposed to fit. I'm so stoked, now I want to go back and get one in every color!!! Cathy, I'm eating lots of refried beans and a tad of cheese these days on mushies. Also some scrambled eggs and soups.

Congrats Long !!!! :thumbup:Yea Overweight!! :thumbup:I know how great that feels.. You are doing so great - I am so happy for you and proud of the work you are/have done... Yep - it's a 50 yr old thing - really it's a too many things on our minds... I did shopping yesterday and forgot stuff - I need to start making list - but I forget them at home:lol: but just the fact of writing it down does help me remember sometimes when at the store  Becky - Learn to say NO - you have a lot on your plate right now - and there is nothing wrong with saying No - I know it's hard but you have to think about you.. If you took the job you could still eat right - but ya the exercise might be hard and your whole kitchen thing and election - Can it wait till those things are over.. The 1st bite - it's usually the chewing and taking too big of a bite for me - it's usually the 3rd bite that gets me - I got stuck on pudding the other night.. Slow down and just concentrate on chewing super well - just think - if I chew I can eat my whole meal... I can eat grilled cheese and sandwich breads and sour dough type breads - I just don't do it often cuz GS isn't really a sandwich eater and the bread goes to waste.. But every now and then I do buy a loaf of lite bread. Yes our bands are fickled - some days I think I need a tweek then again I know I don't.. Its about chewing and eating slowly and small bite - really focus on those things and then go from there at to measure if you need a fill or not You kitchen sound beautifuly - your colors are like mine - I would say we have similar taste :0). Rose I work Insurance - (property and casualty - businesses - country clubs, contractors etc) I will be w/my employer for 30 yrs 7/9/09.. I am a licensed agent - but I don't sell as an agent - I am a Senior Acct Exect/Manager. I do all the work and the Producer gets all the glory  Hair cut was great - wear a angled bob - and keep going shorter - I want short hair - but as a fat chich I would never go short - cuz I hated that whole little head big body look - so we are going shorter a little at a time.. Yesterday at Target - a lady giving samples of some granola type bar - 1st thing I asked how many calories - she said only 150 - I said Oh thats alot - she said you don't have to worry about that - and I said ya I do - if I want to stay this way... But that someone thought I was just a thin person was like unbeleivable - I might have a thin body and know it - but don't always feel it.. Well today's agenda - Take back a blouse I got for my bday and search another Marshalls for these cute capri's but they only had a 2 & 8 at my store - the 2's were about an inch to small in the waist - but they were so cute... I gotta find a 4.. Oh ya - and I did get to the gym before my hair appt - I was trying to make excuses that I didn't have enought time - cuz I hate to rush - but you know what I may not have gotten my whole 3 miles in - but did get 2.5 and still burned 275 calories by upping the incline and working out harder instead of longer.. Another great NSV - Another way my thinking has changed - I know that I have to exercise if I want to eat and keep what I have worked so hard for...

Becky CONGRATS ON YOUR 35 LBS... Yep we think if we drink it will wash it thru - BIG mistake - I did it too but no more. Some pple chew papaya tablets when they get meat stuck - you can get them at walmart. I don't use them but a lot of pple do. If I get stuck - it either goes down in about 10 mintues or it comes back up. I find that getting up and walking around helps - some one says to put your arms over your head... Glad you are doing well and that the execise is getting easier - it will I know 6 months ago when I got my trainer he put me on the treadmill with incline of 3 or 4 speed 2.5 and told me not to hold on - he didn't care how fast my speed was - but to walk on incline and not to hang on.. Ltt me tell you it was hard... I could barely do this and I had been on the treadmill for 8 months Today I did incline of 12 - speed 2.5 without holding on... Great NSV..

LauraK - I told him to get out - ;0) and this time he did ;0) I just chuckle to myself - that he keeps calling to know if I'm ok - lol I'm 55 been on my own since 16 - Ya I'm ok.. I'm a big girl :0).. WTG on your walk... Yep aint it amazing on what we can do today opposed to a yr ago.. I'm still amazed today.. I think those things are the best NSV's - It' what keeps me motivated.. Charlene - WTG on getting up w/o support - we have an exercise like that in bootcamp - the 1st time they did it - I wasn't too good at it - but we did it last week and I am better - so these classes are helping me.. WTG on your food last night - I'm an enchilada eater or chili reno - I too have to have red meat weekly or at least every couple weeks - and I am liking chicken more now too.. Eva - Yep I can feel fall coming - well as much fall as we get - but evenings & mornings are pretty good - it's suppose to be hot here for the next 2 days 110+
