Easter Sunday - WHAT WILL YOU WEIGH???
lucill35 replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well, I may have been a little ambitious in my goal setting. Nothing like setting a goal the week of the 3 week stall and a suprise TOM visitor. Well, a loss is still a loss and I will take it. -

I to had the 3 week stall and it was a bit frustrating, but around 4 1/2-5 week the weight started coming off. Then around 6 weeks I stalled again for a week, but now it's a pretty steady loss every week.. I can't believe I am almost 10 weeks out.. I've done good and lost during the 10 weeks 50lbs!!! -

Search "3 week stall" = It's talked about alot. I also had it. -
I had my surgery on Feb 4th, I have lost 12 lbs, however...i have not lost a single pound this week, feel a bit bummed out about it. I also went back to work a week later and that was fine, surprised at how fast I felt good. My pre-surgery weight was 206, today I am 194, been there for a week Not sure why, I even started walking on the treadmill every other day for 45 min, about 2.5 miles. I hope this is what they call the 3 week stall. Tomorrow will be 3 weeks. Just seems I eat such a little bit and should lose more. I'll remain optimistic though, I know it takes time, just ready to see that scale in the 180's already. Let me know if anyone has any thoughts/inspirations to share. Thanks.

Help! 3 weeks out and I've stopped losing weight
Aychee replied to TynMcsMom's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow-thank you for posting this about the 3 week mark! I am 4 weeks out as of this past Thursday and I too fell victim to the 3 week stall. Since then, I managed to lose another 2lbs. I think unfortunately it is also so easy to fall victim to the scale. Glad I found this group as I need to learn a lot! -
getting really frustrated.
SFOTraveler replied to Brielle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hang in there, I too hit the dreaded 3 week stall, gained 2 or so lbs, and got stuck for EIGHT DAYS! Omg. I was so extremely frustrated and cried more that once. I checked this website every day for tips and even called my nutritionist. And ya know, all though all of that was supposed to make me feel better, I think that by the time I was done soliciting all the advice, my body was ready to lose again! Since that time, I have gone down about 20 lbs. And it just seems to be falling off. My best advice is stay positive, stay active, and keep up your Water and Protein and vitamins! You WILL succeed! hugs to you! -

I've been in a 3+ week stall that normally would have me off the wagon (before the sleeve on a regular diet, I would give up at the 3 week mark with no movement!) But thanks to my little sleeve, I'm just plugging away and hoping that someday soon this stall will break!!! :bored: -
Today marks the day I have weighed the least in about 11 years. Last week I had the dreaded 3 week stall. Stepped on scale today and was rewarded with 2 lbs down. I am wearing clothes today that were tight a month ago and now they are baggy and I have to keep pulling my pants up. What a happy feeling. Down 27lbs as of today...surgery was 24 days ago. Doing well!! Spring in my step and tears in my eyes b/c this is actually working!! What a Happy Valentine's Day----I do love my NEW self. If you are thinking about this, it DOES work...I was doubtful, too, so glad I did it.

January sleevers how are you doing?
tntransplant06 replied to time4me's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm at 3 weeks and HAVE hit the 3 week stall. That being said, I've lost 24 lbs in 2 weeks so I can't complain. If I don't lose next week, I will say I will be PI**ED! I am not hungry, but I do feel like I'm obsessing about food. I think about eating every hour and find myself nibbling here and there. I have to reign that in. I don't like eating a bite every 90 min. It literally is a1-3 bites of food every 90 min. I'd much rather eat 6-10 bites every 3-4 hours. I think I'm eating too many carbs but I like them and I can't eat just protein. That being said, I never eat a carb w/out a protein. (that goes back to my diabetic diet) Eating carbs alone means I want more to eat and want to eat more often. I may eat 4 TBS Tuna Fish and then eat 2 ritz crackers with it. I think that's a good balance. Same with soup, maybe 1/2 cup soup w/ 4 crackers. I haven't had bread yet as I cant' try that for 2 more weeks. I don't know that I will eat it again. Although, a turkey sandwich sounds really good. -
I'm afraid I might be at that 3 week stall

I'm afraid I might be at that 3 week stall
AChristian posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think I'm at the 3 week stall everybody talks about. I started this journey at 192.8 (BMI of almost 32), so I suspected I would be a slow loser but was really hoping that wouldn't be the case. I was really hoping to be down 30 pounds in a month. I have some catching up to do if that is gonna happen. So sad. -
Just wanted to say hang in there!!!! I hit the DREADED and LONG 3 week stall (about 8 days) and it finally broke and I am now back to the same quick loss as right after surgery. Hang in there and stay positive. The favorite mantra was "we HAVE to lose weight... we're only consuming 600 cals per day!"

4 weeks Post op and EVERYTHING I try makes me sick!
JanePatrick replied to cludgie's topic in Food and Nutrition
I agree w/Tiff, but then again I always agree with her. I had a hard time when I was moving from liquids to mush to solids. Everything tasted wrong, and would upset my stomach. I lost 35 pounds in the first month because I got tired of trying to eat something that didn't effect me poorly. I also had doubts about the sleeve working, but they passed once I could actually handle some Tuna, and from there other more solid foods. My first 10 weeks were a roller coaster of emotions, food problems, a 3 week stall where I thought I was not going to lose another ounce. All I can tell you is that the further out you get from the surgery, the better you will feel about having it done. Your body will heal itself, and you will get to a place where the sleeve feels like the best thing going. I still have stalls, it's just the way my body works, but during those stalls I make sure to try on clothes that I know did not fit me, because I still lose in size even when I am not losing on the scale. I hate to say it, but TIME is what will make things better. Keep your chin up and try to take comfort in that 18lbs that are gone. Think about how long that would have taken you before the sleeve, and if it would have stayed away or come back to visit you over and over. -
Ok so 4 weeks out and 18lb down (still in the 3 week stall ), I am soooo tired of liquids. I'm ok with scrambled egg, and Soups even some with a few small noodles in, but I've tried to vary this and keep being sick. I'm tired of the couple of things I can eat, and need more inspiration, but I'm also worried that at this rate I will NEVER get on solids without hurting myself. I've slowed my eating down, I'm only going for small ammounts of soft stuff, what else can I do? I actually doubted my sleeve for the first time yesterday. Thanks in advance. Cx

Need your hair loss experiences
Tiffykins replied to 2bslimkim's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
At the top right hand corner, you will see a little box with a magnifying glass off to the side. If you'll type in "hair loss", it will pull up every thread/topic that discussing hair loss and you can read many people's experiences. A lot of have repeated the same post. I do it because I know it's nice to hear, but if you want to get a lot of veterans and people that don't post anymore, I suggest using the search feature. There's tons of Hair loss topics on the forum. It's the most popular discussion next to gas, poops, and how terribly miserable the 3 week stall is for post-opers. -
The ~3 week stall/gain has hit. I'm so sorry that you are going through this - it is very frustrating. There are two good things about this (1) We've all been there and feel your pain and (2) This too shall pass. Keep your chin up!

Help! 3 weeks out and I've stopped losing weight
LisaaaLisaaa replied to TynMcsMom's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm at the dreaded "3 week stall" only I'm two days before the 3 weeks. But I'm not complaining. I'm down 17.5 lbs since surgery and people are noticing. I'm excited. But it's good to know I am not alone with the stall. -
December 2010 Sleevers!
tiffnie replied to BZButterfly79's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry that youre feeling down, Im feeling that way just a bit as well. I am a little worried about my stall, but from what I see here the 3 week stall is pretty normal, its just the body adjusting. One person in a different forum mentioned that she had stalled for a couple months, but now she is down about 100 lbs or so! It WILL pass I decreased my cals and I see that you are increasing yours, so hopefully one of us sees results! Either way its nearly impossible to NOT lose with the intake that we have, so hang in there! -
Stall...for how long?
Middlesister57 replied to fullhandsfullheart's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Don't fret. I had the exact same thing happen to me. I was sleeved on 12/14/10 and right around the first of the year I hit my stall. 10 days with nothing and I was freaking out. But the scale finally started to move and I have been steadily moving since then. DO NOT WORRY. It will start up again. Everyone on here said there is a dreaded 3 week stall. Just keep doing what you are supposed to do and it will start up again. I'm down 44 pounds since pre surgery diet on Dec 1. Lisa -
2 wks post op - plateau?
tiffnie replied to ChattyCathy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am not alone!! I am almost at 3 weeks, I lost 25 lbs the first 2 weeks then the scale just stopped moving! I was thinking wither starvation mode since I get in about 600 or so calories a day - but Im working on that - or I thought it was because I wasnt doing my 30 min walking a day, even though I do walk a lot period. Maybe it is a little of both plus the 3 week stall. Either way I dont feel so bad anymore. BTW lately I have only been getting in 30 g or so of protein daily - is this a huge deal? -
I don't know about the 3 week stall, but I had a 4 month stall that went for 15 or 16 days UGH! Chin up you will drop soon!!!
