What happened with your incisions? Mine are starting to lose the glue and two look a bit scary to me. Band to SIPS/SA-DI/LOOP DS 8.8.17 HT: 5'6ish HW: 242 SW: 226 CW: 206 GW: Healthy

Trying on smaller sizes
This does make sense, I will keep it in mind once I am fully healed and transition to solid foods. Still a week away from purées [emoji4] Band to SIPS/SA-DI/LOOP DS 8.8.17 HT: 5'6ish HW: 242 SW: 226 CW: 206 GW: Healthy

Trying on smaller sizes
Thanks everyone. I'm only still wearing yoga pants because I still have sore stitches that would rub in denim. I also have this weird thing where if I wear binding clothes (spanx etc) I get super sick to my stomach... gas pains, cramping, back aches (which I have had happen my whole life) so I don't like tight fitting clothes. Trying on smaller sizes
When were you brave enough to try on clothes in a smaller size? I want to see if some of the clothes in the far reaches of my closet fit but I'm hesitant... what if they don't! [emoji27]. Currently I'm still wearing tshirts and yoga pants. My body has never liked tight fitting clothing, makes me feel ill. I still haven't even put on jeans since pre op. Just curious when you (anyone) took the plunge and tried stuff on [emoji851] Band to SIPS/SA-DI/LOOP DS 8.8.17 HT: 5'6ish HW: 242 SW: 226 CW: 206 GW: Healthy

Band to sleeve - reflux
It's a modified duodenal switch surgery. I have a single anastomoses vs the full DS which has a double anastomoses. I also have a longer common channel (300cm) vs the standard 100cm common channel of the full DS. http://www.centerforweightlosssurgery.com. This is my surgeons practice, he has information on all the surgeries if you would like to peep it. Band to SIPS/SA-DI/LOOP DS 8.8.17 HT: 5'6ish HW: 242 SW: 226 CW: 207 GW: Healthy

Band to sleeve - reflux
I had reflux at the end of my band life because it was too tight and needed to be removed. I'm now starting my 4th post op week with my revision to sips DS and haven't had any kind of reflux or anything similar. Band to SIPS/SA-DI/LOOP DS 8.8.17 HT: 5'6ish HW: 242 SW: 226 CW: 207 GW: Healthy

DS vs Gastric Sleeve recovery? Can you tell me how your recoveries compared????
I had a band to sips DS on 8/8/17. Currently starting my 4th week. My band to DS was done in a single surgery and I went home the same day. I can't say how the sleeve to DS addition will be for recovery. I'm still technically in recovery and still dealing with learning how to bend over (the big stitch is still being a jerk) and dealing with new gas pains and other digestive upsets. I'm not sure how it would be easier though than just being sleeved, my pain was all from the incisions vs internally. Good luck to you, I hope someone else has more relevant experience to share with you [emoji4] Band to SIPS/SA-DI/LOOP DS 8.8.17 HT: 5'6ish HW: 242 SW: 226 CW: 207 GW: Healthy

B12 injections or pill?
I have B12 injections, they're only available via prescription. I guess it depends on your blood work and what your surgeon/doc sees as necessary. My B12 was extremely low pre-surgery. Band to SIPS/SA-DI/LOOP DS 8.8.17 HT: 5'6ish HW: 242 SW: 226 CW: 208 GW: Healthy

PRE-OP
I am 3 weeks post, I buy as I go because after surgery things taste different. I wouldn't stock up too much... you may find that you can't stand some things you liked prior to surgery. Band to SIPS/SA-DI/LOOP DS 8.8.17 HT: 5'6ish HW: 242 SW: 226 CW: 208 GW: Healthy

IUD has moved
Mine fell out during my pre-op diet. I only had it for 10 months at the time... then I started having heavy bleeding which I hadn't had in the 10 months since placement... then boom it was gone. I had an ultrasound and X-rays and it's missing, the bugger just up and ran away. Band to SIPS/SA-DI/LOOP DS 8.8.17 HT: 5'6ish HW: 242 SW: 226 CW: 208 GW: Healthy

I'm so going to do the ricotta bake as soon as I get to purées... my plan has me waiting til week 5! Less than 2.5 weeks to go... I want to get a little toaster oven so I can make small portions. I'm one of those people that suck at leftovers. Band to SIPS/SA-DI/LOOP DS 8.8.17 HT: 5'6ish HW: 242 SW: 226 CW: 208 GW: Healthy

How much help did you need?
I had a revision from band to SIPS DS and went home the same day. I did have someone around the house for me the first few days but I didn't really need much help. I also had to climb the stairs (about 15 steps) and I didn't have a recliner but I just took it slow. I paced a lot during those first couple of days. It was the only way I could sip water. Sitting and sipping just did not work for me. Band to SIPS/SA-DI/LOOP DS 8.8.17 HT: 5'6ish HW: 242 SW: 226 CW: 209 GW: Healthy
