After going to my first and only seminar, I was hooked. That was on October 9, 2010. I've been doing plenty of research since then on the LAP-BAND. I've been wanting this kind of procedure done for 3 years now, ever since I first saw the REALIZE commercial on tv. I'm 17 now but that will soon change in January. I've found out today that I won't have to do the 6 months waiting period with my primary physician. Super excited about that! In the mean time before I turn 18, I'm able to see the surgeon and everything and get everything done with so that when I do turn 18, we can schedule the surgery real soon. This is a kids dream come true.
