  1. First of all you have done amazing so please be proud of your accomplishments so far! Second WTF - GRRRRRR - what an "nice' nurse. Let me just tell you I am a considered a "light weight" BMI was under 40 at surgery. I am still losing at 11 months out (in fact today is 11 months exactly. I made my goal in less than 10 months but this past month I lost 6 pounds which is more than I lost from June-August combined. What I am trying to say is the weight loss can continue even after 6 months - so do not stress. I know they say that you lose the most in the first year - so stay focused on Protein and Water and keeping carbs low. Each of us loses at a different pace. THere are many people on these boards who can offer you better support than I can - but I want to reassure you that you are doing GREAT! Do not self destruct because of the words of this one person. Continue your journey at your own comfortable pace. Protein, water and exercize are the 3 thinks that got me to where I am. I work out with a trainer 2 times per week now and work out with my hubby at least 3 x per week at the gym. His workouts are just as hard as my trainers! Most important is that you are losing and are down almost 100 pounds! Amazing - I am sure you will hit the century mark by the new year! Enjoy your journey and the new you! Keep focused! I wish you much success! Kim
  2. My gallbladder is coming out Monday morning! - I have lots of little stones in my gallbladder but some have left that GB and are lodged in my bile duct - they do not want these moving to my pancreas or my liver - so out it goes and they will do an ERC to get those in my ducts. Oh the pain = pretty tired of it! I have been having attacks of and on for 2 months - cannot pinpoint what triggers it. Looking forward to a pain free holidays!!
  3. Gallbladder surgery scheduled for Monday Dec 12th - YEAH! Time for the pain t o go away!

  6. Always amazed - scale victory today! 149.4 thats right - I m in the 140's today!

  7. :Banane59: Today I officially hit 150!!! 150.4 actually - never in my wildest dreams did I think I would succeed at this surgery! Praise be to God! :nonod: On another note - I had an ultrasound today that confirms what I already suspected - I have gallstones. Several large ones in my gallbladder and a couple lodged in a bile duct leading to the liver. I have a surgical consult scheduled for Monday - my DR wants me to get it removed asap - My AST/ALT levels are sky high 330 and 570 - my bilirubin levels are high - all points to gallbladder. And the darn pain is unbelieveable! OMG these gotta go! I knew going into this surgery that GB attacks and stones was pretty common in VSG and weightloss patients - of course I never considered it could happen to me - but I will take the good (150) with the bad! God does not give you more than you can handle! And I wonder what the gallbladder weights??? Perhaps I will dip into the 140's by having it removed - lol It is hard to believe that I have gone from 239.8 last year at this time To 150.4 today - don't mind the shirt it's an ongoing joke with some friends!
  8. Coops - You just made me laugh out loud - my deceiving hair! My hair is thin and fine - products make it look thick - I always get comments about how great my hair looks - hahaha. I use the "Instyler" hair tool for curling and volume. I use Rusk W8less Hairspray (I swear by this product)! I lost quite a bit of hair early on - that drove me crazy - but most has come back now and it think it may be a bit thicker than before surgery, which is great because I always have had fine hair. My hair stylist has been with me for 20+ years and is brilliant! She always makes me walk out of her salon with a smile on my face - and who knows what color of hair! Right now I am toffee brown - but next week i have an appointment with her and we are changing it up! Thank you for the compliments - I have to show that to my stylist because she will love to read that! Kim

    Gallbladder Ultrasound

I am just headed to the hospital for a gallbladder ultrasound! This little bugger has got to go! I wish they had screened it before I had my VSG surgery and removed it at that time. Now it appears I will be having another surgery to remove it. But I will be happy to have it go - my attacks have become more frequent and last longer and are so painful! Wonder how this will impact my eating habits/diet in the future? I am already at goal (5 pounds under) but have really kept up the Protein (meat first) diet - and I actually think that meat (fatty meat) triggers the attacks.
  15. Headed out the door for a gall bladder ultrasound - this little bugger has got to go! On a more exciting note - I hit 150 today! 150.4 exactly - amazing!

You crack me up! Lets see if we can get a 2-4-1 deal when we are both ready (savings wise) those prices look alot better than anything I am seeing in Minnesota. And I imagine there are lot more Tummy tucks done in CA than MN!
  23. Oh Irene - you are already my mentor and you may not even know it - you my friend are amazing and an inspiration for all! So while I might already be at goal - you are still my mentor so officially sign me up! You can guide me through my future plastics/lipo - and help me stay on track and at or below goal. Sending hugs and love your way this holiday season! Kim

    Tummy Tuck...have You Had One?

I want one too! Currently 4 pounds below goal - but only been a goal for about a month now - so I am goin gto wait until I have maintained for at least 6 months or so - then I am going for it! I am tired of the lose baggy skin - I dont have any real rolls - just floppy lose skin...ish. I am so ashamed at what I did to my body - every time I look at it -it plays with my mind. I think I look pretty good in my clothes but when I look in the mirror after a shower... I see an old wrinkled mess from my belly button down. But I will keep working away and saving and hopefully I will get a tummy tuck next year!
  25. This holiday season I am thankful for my tiny tummy! Down 88 pounds and enjoying the new me!
