  1. Hey... You doing any better or still not able to keep anything down? Let me know how your appointment goes on the 14th. :)

  2. Starting to get stressed... Not really losing weight... Hopefully when my band is filled to where it should be I will feel better...

  3. I have 4cc's right now. I am feeling some restriction but not alot. I go for my second fill on January 3rd. They are going to add 1cc and we will go from there. My doctor told me anywhere from 6 to 8cc's is the sweet spot.

    Nov 2010 bandsters

i was banded on November 1st. I got my first fill on November 30th. I have a 10 CC band and got 4 CC's. So far I have some restriction but I know that I am nowehre near where I need to be. I go back for my second fill on January 3rd. My doctor says it typically takes 3 to 5 fills to hit the sweet spot ( between 6 and 8 CC's full ). Good luck to everyone! Keep up the good work and support.

    First Fill

Well I had a really bad experience with my first fill yesterday. They were looking for my port and it took them three tries to finally find it. I am hurting so bad today and I am all bruised. If this is what is going to happen everytime I don't want to do it anymore. I got 4 CC's put in but don't have alot of restriction. I hope this gets better because I don't think I can deal with it much longer. Not regretting my decision but trying to get over the complications I have had.
  6. Oh lord. I got my fill yesterday. They couldn't find the port. :( When they finally did I am all bruised. Not a good first experience. Nelli told me that it's usually not that hard and that it should be easier the next time which is January 3rd.

  7. That is so awesome! I can't wait to go shopping! Congrats and keep up the good work.
  8. I sure will. When is your next fill? I wonder how many fills it's going to take to get this right lol.

  9. 45 is a really good number. I will see on Tuesday how much if any that I have lost since surgery. I am sure that things will be fine that I am just over thinking the fill. We will both be on track soon enough :)

  10. I am petrified lol. But I know it will be ok. I am finally at a point where I know I need a fill because I am eating more. How much have you lost so far?

  11. Hey! I am ok. Going for my first fill on Tuesday :) How are things going with you?

  12. Hello soo_much. I am doing ok, how are you? Thank you for befiending me on here. I am still really nervous about this whole process. I am origionally from Silver City, NM but currently reside in Las Cruces, NM. When were you banded? how much have you lost?

  13. Ok. I was banded on the 1st and all went well. I was progressing really well until 3 days ago. I am not sure what it was that I did or didn't do but I have had extreme nausea since. I work graveyards and noticed that when I went back to work is when it started. I have had to go back to liquids because anything else makes the nausea worse. I keep thinking that something is wrong but my doctor says not to worry. I am so trired of being nauseous. If anyone has any advie I would love some. I can't imagine living on liquids for the rest of my life.
  14. I was banded on November 1st. My post op has not been what most of you have described. I had tremendous gas pain for the first 4 days. It helped when I walked but I was so weak I couldn't even do that. The pain where my 5 incisions are was not as bad as I thought it was going to be so I was not on my pain meds that long. I think the worst part so far has been that I have developed this rash all over my abdomen and chest. My surgeon told me to take an allergy medicine and it has helped but not totally taken care of it. Has anyone else had this happen? I get my staples out on Tuesday and I think I am more nervous about that than I was the surgery. But despite all of these things I would not change my decision to get banded. Good luck to all those being banded and good job to all those that have been banded. Keep up the good work! :smile2:

  18. I am officially banded. Everything went really smooth. I have had some pain with the incisions but it is mostly gas pain. Things are looking up. This is one of the best decisions I could have made. Good luck to all of you getting banded the rest of the month. We all need to offer positive support to one another and I know we can make it through this.
  19. Monday is coming fast! I am so nervous about getting banded. I know that things will be ok though. The toughest thing so far is the liquid portion of the preop diet. I am so hungry it is not funny. I figure what is a couple months of "torture" for a lifetime of health. Good luck to all the November Bandsters. We are all going to do well!
  20. Ok everyone... I am needing some encouragement right about now! I was scheduled to get banded on October 25th but my insurance was being retarded so I has to reschedule for November 1st. I just started the all liquid portion of my pre surgery diet and it is going well. Here is the bad news... I got sick this past week and went to the doctor and I have Bronchitus... :sneaky: They put me on steroids and some antibiotics and 2 different inhalers trying to get me better quickly so I can still have my surgery on Monday. But due to the steroids my surgeon is thinking about postponing it yet again...:w00t: I am so stressed out that things are not going the way that they are supposed to and it is making me second guess my decision. I know that getting banded is the best thing I can do for my health but it seems like everything is trying not to let it happen... If anyone has advise I would appriciate it...
