  1. Hi yall, I'm Nikki, I was banded on September 21. I'm still kinda new to this site but I'd love to network with yall to share experiences, etc. To date I've lost 35 pounds. (yay!) I'm excited about my progress but still struggle with food issues- following the 'don't drink with meals', 'stop as soon as you are satisfied', etc. Also- I'm having some port area pain today. Seems persistent, whether I'm sitting or standing, and it's not severe but constant. Anybody else experience this?
  2. Hey ya'll! Not to sound negative, but... does anyone else hate this website as much as I do? I LOVE the forum, but I hate the website! Hmm... Anyway... my name is Nikki, and I was banded on the 21st of September. No fills (my surgeon won't do it for 90 days post-op), 15 pounds lost so far, and I feel like I was born again! Everything is amazing, my relationship with food is changing before my very eyes, and I'm learning things about my body that I never ever knew. I rely on my Protein shakes pretty heavily to carry me through hunger and cravings, and it works beautifully. I hardly ever want to grab the wrong foods and when I do want to, I remind myself of what is important in my life. I feel like I paid $10,000 for happiness, which is a really small price if you ask me. I am so excited about this journey! I'm glad to share it with you all as well!! I also joined a support group, my first meeting is this coming Tuesday. Yay! Nikki Arlington, TEXAS :smile2::thumbup:
  3. Hi ya'll! I'm brand new to this, but excited to chat with other September Bandsters! I was banded 9/21, still experiencing pain at the port site, all my other incisions are fine. Still have some gas pressure at my shoulders. Is anybody else getting this clinching feeling in your stomach when you go from sitting to standing? Also, the muscles around my port site feel like they are moving by themselves sometimes- I know they are healing and such, but is that normal? It feels like someone is poking me! I'm excited to start mushy foods tomorrow! I am so over this liquid diet!
