  5. ...well I didn't run, however I was brave enough to hit the hustle bustle of shopping. Still struggling emotionally tonight, but doing better!

  6. Aww thank you Oh and boy do I excercise...a little slowed down right now. I just had surgery on Tues to fix a band slip (I was terribly ill with the Flu) so I'm taking it slow right now. Prior to this happening I was training 6 days a week...moving towards my 1st ever 1/2 Marathon here in Seattle. I won't be able to compete, Doc said its too soon after this little bump in the road...but I'm looking into doing the Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon. Fitness goals keep me going and I'm so scared of what my "skin" would look like without working out. I do a combination of walking/jogging/elliptical/stationary bike/and weights. I goto our local YMCA when the weather here in our area is cranky. I think I have a phobia against rain...thank goodness there is a gym close by. When I start hitting plateau's (which I've had a few along the way) I really start looking at measurements...anything to keep that postive motivation going.

  7. Aww your so sweet...thank you so much for the compliment :o) Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  8. Best Wishes for a speedy recovery! Your gonna do great...welcome to a journey that will change your life forever! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Good Luck, let us know how your doing!

  10. Congrats!! You look amazing...keep up the great work!!

  11. Doc says it time to revisit the nutrionist, lower my protein....up my carbs....to support the excercise. A tough balance.

  12. Down 4 lbs...hope it stays...been teetering for 2 1/2 months. I was able to get another fill yesterday, putting me at 5cc's...hope this does the trick until after New Years.

  13. Grandbaby is due July 28th....Awww and my son called me crying with the news. So exciting for our family!

  17. Heart is a little broken! My husband just told me he doesn't want to go watch me run the 12k's of Christmas next Sunday because its supposed to rain. I need his support, more than he realizes :o(

  18. Hello....I'm in Bellevue...banded for 2 years in Feb. Definetely had my ups and downs along this journey. I'm new to the area so also looking for others locally for support.

  19. Hey there....Doc told me to wait until my appt. on Nov. 1st. They had to do alot of removal of scar tissue and such...so I guess he wants me to take it easy. I was in surgery for 4.5 hours for my slipped band, so I'm going to do exactly as he says...lol...I don't wanna go through that again. I did however get the ok to walk upto 5 miles a day. We are on our way :o)

  20. Hi Laysee...The hardest part for me is what I'm currently going through right now. Banded for a year and a half, following everything exactly as I should and excercising. I have learned to LOVE the gym and some might say I go a little overboard with it...but I wouldn't be as successful without it. Anyways, two weeks ago I came down with the Flu and with all the vomitting my Band Slipped, requiring surgery to reattach and reposition it. I'm on liquids for 5 more weeks...which is the hardest for me. If I could go back two weeks, I would go to the Doctors immediately to get my band unfilled while I was Ill...but I thought I was invicible. The past 18 months had been perfect..so it couldn't happen to me. I'm not trying to scare you, just make people aware that it can happen. I still wouldn't change a thing. I love my band and its been LIFE CHANGING. Good luck on your journey to a new you!!

  21. Hi...I was just wandering around the site, and found the comment you made on "Unmotivated"...absolutely love it! I'm almost two years out and you shared some great ideas I'd never even though of. Bravo :o) Keep up the great work!!

  22. Hi...I'm also in Bellevue and Dr. Nguyen is who took me on as a patient...when everyone else wanted to look the other way (My originally surgery was in Las Vegas) He is a phenominal Doc...and if you want to talk to someone about having the Lapband...look me up. I've had mine for 18 months now and this is the best thing I've ever done for myself.

  23. How did that happen :o) stayed away from the scale for a week, 7lbs under goal!

  24. I agree, I'm totally lost!!

  25. I love your posts and you give such honest advice! I love it. You look amazing and you inspire alot of people! Just wanted to say thank you :o)
