    Weak Moment....

Today was my first day on the Phentermine...I am still a little in shock...guess I didn't really expect it to work. I had to remind myself to eat ) I'll take it...so much better than feeling like I'm starving all day. Ahhh now I feel like I can handle this until I get back to my sweet spot ) without stressing. It may not be for everyone, and they may not agree...but this is my journey afterall, I have to do what works for me. Thanks for the support

  11. I'm an insured bander...costing me only $250 for office paperwork fee and $15 copays for my fills. I don't think it matters whether your self pay or insured to be successful. I know when I started this journey, the choice was to "save my life"....Failure is not an option...and continued success is now a learned behavior. Its been an overall lifestyle change. I can honestly say for myself, I would have the same success if I had to pay for the surgery without insurance.

Humana - help with your knowledge

I had no problems with Humana approving my surgery, it went right through. I also had done diets and such with my Primary Care Doctor...who also helped with my claim. Your surgeon will also help too...but it helps if PCP is on board. Good Luck

    Weight Gain Frustration

Ok, since my slippage surgery on 9/21 I have been dropping weight like crazy and my Doc was worried about the weight loss. Now 4 weeks out from surgery I'm up 5 lbs...out of no where. I stopped doing the protein shakes, Doc gave me the approval to go ahead and try to eat...and so far its been great. I'm able to eat almost anything in small quantities...including bread/pasta and chicken...all of which I couldn't eat prior to this. Makes me wonder, was my band misplaced improperly to begin with...and did the Doc miss it??? Anyhow I'm working out like a crazy woman and the scale just keeps going up and up....I was 6 lbs below goal and now 5 lbs over....11 lbs COME ON. I'm feeling discourage and frustrated and hunger has set in...making Christy a very grumpy girl. I go in for my first fill on Nov. 5th and I cannot wait to get back on track again. Well I'm taking my "lil weight gaining self" to the gym....2nd workout for the day. I CANNOT FAIL!!!!

    Weight Gain Frustration

Thank you, maybe I do need to really look at what I'm eating...My band slipped from vomitting with the Flu. Doc said I can't come in earlier...I need to let my body heal

    So far I

I consider myself one of the lucky ones....No plastic surgery...my skin seemed to bounce back. I really attribute that to losing the weight slowly and eating healthy and mostly excercising.

    Panic Attacks

Well I'm starting to introduce food into my system....pureed/mushy foods. Experiencing this before I thought "This should be eay" WRONG. I just stayed at the beach with friends and had a cup of clam chowder. Literally about 2 oz. I knew instantly this was not a good idea Instant anxiety set in....a honest to god panic attack. Heart pounding out of my chest....pacing through the house. I went for a walk, that helped temporarily. My skin feels like I have bugs crawling on me. I took 2 mg. of Xanax at the suggestion of my Doctor... Anyone else Panic when they started eating?? Any suggestiions:scared2:
