    I guess you are all right, I think I would obsess if I have one in the house. Maybe I'll take the suggestion and just weigh myself at the gym once a week. Thanks so much for the advice!

    Hump Day!

    Happy Wednesday everyone! Happy to report that the cat is fine, he was a little constipated now he's back to eating like an obese kitty lol. I thought I would eat chobani every day for the rest of my life, not going to lie I'm a little tired of it. Going to try some new breakfast recipes to bring to work. I found a recipe online to make crock pot falafels I'm definetly going to make those for lunch in a couple of weeks, cannot wait to try them I love falafels! Does anyone pinterest? I discovered it yesterday and I'm in love!!!!! Down 1.5 lbs from last week, at first I was pissed off, but then I realized after I ate like crap all weekend, 1.5 lbs is not that bad! Well that's all to report, thanks for reading, and thanks for the support

  4. Do you use pinterest? There's a lot of healthy recipes on there. I usually make a whole recipe and divide it up into one cup servings for the week (I'll usually keep Monday and Tuesday in the fridge and freeze the rest of the week). Also do you have a dorm with a kitchen? Or is it just microwave and fridge? If you have a full kitchen in your dorm, then eggs are the way to go! They're cheap and easy (like me lol) and you can add so much to mix in! I found a good recipe for egg cups that I'm going to try next weekend to bring to work. Also if you can tolerate bread, I sometimes make the following sandwiches. I wrap them up in paper towels and then aluminum foil and freeze them. I'll defrost them the night before, bring them to work, unwrap the foil and pop them in the micro for a minute or so: 1 whole wheat eng muffin toasted, 1/4 cup egg beaters, 1 morning star farm "sausage" patty, and 1 slice of american cheese.

    Starting Over-Again

    I'm on the same boat as you, I'm starting all over again, so far so good (I think, I ate like crap this past weekend and still lost 1.5 lbs), but I don't think I'm in the green zone yet, go back to the md on Monday for another fill, hope this one is it If you need support come on this board, I'm on here all the time instead of stuffing my face, people here are so nice and helpful they are all a god send!

    So sorry for your loss, I lost my paternal grandparents three months apart, my dad took it really hard, just be supportive. In regards to your before and after pictures you look freaking amazing! I can def tell a difference. Keep up the good work!

    Humiliated At Work Today! Omg!!!!!

    I had the same thing happen to me at my current place of employment, and to be honest at first I was like "how did everyone know?" now I don't care because I'm doing this for ME and ME only. Don't ever be embarassed about having this surgery, those skinny b!&$^#s probably couldn't even handle what we had to go through! Keep your head up!
  8. Hey everyone just wanted to check in, I weighed myself today down 1.5 pounds from last week, ugh I'm so not interested in food lately, and I think I need to change up what I eat. Went to the gym Monday and yesterday, going again today and tomorrow. This weekend is going to be tough my friend's birthday party is Friday at a local casino, but I already have my flat diet orange soda and pinnacle whipped cream vodka packed (the club we are going to charges 10 bucks a drink, with tip is 12 bucks, so we are just going to drink in the room, the club is next door). Saturday the dbf wants a bacon dip and shrimp scampi. I'm only going to eat 4 ounces of shrimp. Sunday the same friend who is having the party Friday night is having cake at her house (I'm about to skip that, I need a good excuse though lol), then Monday is my lap band dr appt @ 3pm. I hope she gets a little agressive with the fill. I have a 4cc band, right now there's 2.5 ccs so I'm getting a little worried, but I'm not going to stress it. Also I need suggestions for a good scale to weigh my body (not my food lol). I'll be honest I use the Wii fit board and this morning I weighed myself 3 times to three different weights (of course I chose the largest weight loss amount duh!). If anyone has a good brand or model let me know. Thanks!

    Oh my gosh, so sorry to hear that! I'm glad you're okay, they won't give you a fill in the meantime between now and your surgery? I had my gall bladder taken out and they didn't unfill me at all. Hang in there, stay on this board for support we are all here for you!

    Feeling Some Sort Of Way

    Usually I'm very positive, today I'm feeling like such a debbie downer, my cat hasn't really eaten that much today, which worries me. Then at work, complete strangers are just plain rude to me (and I'm not a rude person at all, but I guess my sunny disposition really pissed them off. I'm almost at the point of finishing up my work for tomorrow and calling it a day today (boy the migraine excuse might work because I feel one coming on lol). I just want to make sure my Buddy (the cat) is okay. He ate something, just not as much as he usually does, I gave him a treat before he left which he ate, so at least he's eating something, I don't know. Keep me and Buddy in your prayers today it's going to be one of those days.....
  12. I'm so glad you started this thread, I have just start re-commiting myself to the bandster lifestyle and it's so far so good (with some slip-ups but I take it one day at a time). I was banded in January 2007, lost a ton of weight ~70 lbs, and gained most of it back due to bad food choices, not having the time to eat, and just being lazy. December of last year I re-commited myself to being a good bandster and so far I have lost 20 lbs since December with an overall loss of 28 lbs since my surgery date. I know it's not that much, but my goals are set 10 lbs at a time. I'm also working out more than ever and in March I'm starting the couch 2 5k program, my goal is to run in a 5k next April. I don't know what clicked in me to do this again, but it's working, I don't deprive myself and honestly I think I'm still in "bandster hell" since I don't really feel restriction.     Stepford Husbands

    No offense to the men reading this, but they are oblivious to the obvious sometimes. My dbf doesn't know I have the band, but I tell him I'm trying to watch my carbs. Yesterday he brought me Breakfast in bed with pancakes, toast and salty eggs, so I couldn't eat the eggs so I had the toast grrr. Every other week I cook dinner at my house on Saturday nights and I'm horrible with time management by the time I'm done cleaning, doing laundry, etc it's time to make dinner, and he's usually hungry when he come over, so he suggested I (not him) make an appetizer for him that'll be ready when he gets there (oh excuse me! LOL) so I have a whole folder of appetizers ranging for extremly healthy to artery cloggers, and what does he pick out? A bacon dip! Ugh, what we do for men. LOL.

    Weekend Roundup

    Ohhhh I was such a bad bandster this weekend I'm not going to even get into it, started with margaritas (4 of them) Friday night and went sort of downhill from there. I realized that I cannot take a vacation from eating right, but I also realize on the weekends I don't eat like I normally do (three meals a day 5 hours apart) and that's where the trouble starts. New goal for this weekend: FREAKING EAT MAN! Saturday was quite busy. I went to my local day spa and got my first Brazilian, not for anything special but because it was time for Andrea to put her big girl pants on and stop cutting myself in my lady bits, and it does not hurt! Everyone told me it was the most painful thing, oh come on, getting my eyebrows waxed hurt! After that I went to Aldi's, which I used to not shop at because I only liked high quality foods (ie Trader Joe's Whole Foods) now to be honest with you I don't give a crap what I eat in regards to the quality, I'm so not into food anymore. I just make sure it's dense protein and my daily calories are around 1000/day and 60-80 grams protein/day. For two weeks worth of groceries, I only spent 57 bucks at Aldi's (which is dirt cheap in Connecticut) after that I went to Big Y and got my cat food, and whatever I couldn't find at Aldi's for another 40 bucks worth, so I have to say for grocery shopping for two weeks of food for me and my cat under 100 bucks is awesome! On the way to my dbf house, I forgot to get a V-day gift, so I stopped at Gamestop to pick up a gift card, well while walking to the store (this is what I get for parking so far away) my bra strap breaks! So I have to walk in there with one perky boob and one droopy boob and I'm just like "hurry up, I got to get a bra!" so I go next door to Dots (which is like a hoochie mama clothing store, honestly though I buy clothes from there that aren't hoochie mama, but you know) and get a bra, which the boyfriend loved, and I'm like "this is not sexy this is out of necessity lol". What a day That night dbf and I went for sushi for a belated V-day dinner, I was so worried that I was going to get sushi stuck, but alas I did not (I really don't want to eat sushi, I love it so much, that I want to be restricted enough just to eat sashimi because I could eat those darn rolls all day!). At the restaurant they had this crab salad that I devoured and I think that was the most I ate, also shrimp tempura ::hides:: I'm hoping by my next fill I will only be able to eat sashimi, fingers crossed! Sunday morning, dbf brought breakfast in bed, mmmm those eggs were salty lol. Didn't finish eating those. Went home later, and made my dinner for the week (beefy tortilla soup with an extra can of kidney beans for protein) in my crock pot. Then I was so un motivated from cooking that I had a lean cuisine for dinner ::hides again:: I also tried to figure out what a 4 mile run would be from my house to wherever (my previous post, if you didn't read, was my goal to run a 5k next year) my friend who runs them told me once I get the endurance to run 4 miles since it's a little more than a 5k, so the 5k will be easy. So I drove two miles and holy crap that's a long distance, but I'm going to do it!!!! OH OH OH! One more thing, I bought two big things of plain Chobani yogurt and a ton of mix ins, so today's Chobani flavor goes as such: 1 cup of 0% Chobani with 1 T sugar free white chocolate instant pudding mix 1 T Torani white chocolate syrup (sugar free duh) and 1 T sugar free rasberry preserves.....YUM! Tomorrow I'm going to mix in Coconut Torani and some canned pineapple for a pina colada. Sounds good, no?     Um, Nothing To Report Today

    Yesterday was boring! Today is going to be boring!!!! But I like routine. I wake up, feed the cat, take a shower, feed the cat again, get dressed go to work, come home feed the cat again, go to the gym, eat dinner and go to bed. Well only 44 days until Key West Also I'm obsessed with portobello mini pizzas.....yum!!!!!

    Do Not Screw Up My Schedule!

    Okay I'm really annoyed this morning. First of all, my after work schedule was screwed up yesterday and it will be today. Granted it is for important reasons (well today is). But I have just realized I have to go with the flow for some things. Yesterday, the dbf wanted to come over after he got out of work. I think he knew I was a little annoyed that he didn't do anything for V-day. I still went to the gym, and instead of my usual 40 minutes on Wednesday I only did 30. But I tried out an app for my phone for the c25k program just to see how it works, so I was SWEATING after that workout but still. Then I finish with the gym, send him a text to see where he is no response, so I'm like "screw it I'm making dinner". No sooner do I pull dinner out of the microwave, he shows up. I'm one of those people who find it rude to eat in front of someone if they didn't make something for the other person. So I asked "do you want dinner?" of course he doesn't so I put my dinner back in the kitchen and he's like "you have to eat!". Ugh, whatever. Also, he brought me roses, only 10 of them, not a dozen. I miss the days of getting a dozen long stemmed roses in the big white box from my ex-boyfriend...... Today is a different story. I have to go to a wake for my big boss he died unexpectantly this weekend and he was young. I'm going with a girl that I take the train with who works in the same department as me. We decided to go around 7 ish since the wake will be winding down by then, so once again no gym! I'm going to try to make it up this weekend, but if I don't I'm not stressing it. I'm such a control freak! LOL.

  21. I always thought my stomach growling meant I was physically hungry, but it's not, because my stomach is always making noises! I know when I'm hungry when I get dizzy or have a headache. If anything, I make sure to eat every 5 hours and keep my calorie intake ~1000 cals a day (1000-1100)

    My New Goal For Next Year

    http://www.bradleyroadrace.org/ I'm going to say for now I'm going to do the 5k race, but let's see what happens next year, maybe I'll do the 10k . Maybe I'll just try to do the 5k under a certain amount of time, who knows lol. Can't wait to start c25k! On a crappy note, I totally went overboard yesterday food wise (maybe I did, IDK). I did fine until I got home from work, I had my usual portobello mushroom pizza minus the mushroom and sauce (ran out!), and I usually have some hot antipasto salad with it (about 1/2 cup) well I definetly had more than 1/2 cup of hot antipasto, Probably over a cup maybe a cup and a half. I could've kicked myself! Instead I went to wake, went to Walmart after and re-stocked all my vitamins lol. Today is a new day (even though I can't track food) had an egg white omlette with steamed veggies and cheese yum! Tonight I'm going out to dinner with my friend. I'm just going to have a margarita and some sort of appetizer, not because of the band, but because I'm broke! I have to save money for next week, my friend is having her birthday at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods, and it is not cheap there! Anyway I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, stay motivated!   25. So basically I eat greek yogurt EVERY DAY for Breakfast (and I love it!) I usually buy the one's with the fruit on the bottom and add a little granola. My DBF made the suggestion to get the big tub of either the plain or vanilla and add whatever to it. Any suggestions?
