  5. There is 1 person in Lubbock that does fills but they charge $350!!! The lady that does mine is in Amarillo. Dr. Benevides trained her to do them. she is a nurse at a doctors office there and she is AWESOME!! She only charges $100 and does fills for tons of people on TX, NM, and OK. If you want, email me at lacymajor@gmail.com and I will give you her contact information! How is your process going?? I would love to compare notes! Good luck!!
  6. I had my lap band in September of last year and have lost 75 pounds. It truly was the best decision I have ever made. I live in Lubbock and travel to Amarillo for my fills. I'd you ever want to ask me questions...please email me at browneyesou@AOL.com and I will be more than happy to help!!!
  7. I had my band done by Dr. Benevides in Dallas, TX but I live in Lubbock. I am looking for someone here to do my fills and I stumbled upon your post. I am glad to hear you like Dr. Hall. Is he considered "aggressive" or not so much? I am scheduled for my first fill on Oct. 12th in Dallas but would love to not have to travel to Dallas and get it done here in Lubbock. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!
  8. That is AMAZING...inspiration for me for sure!! How did you do it so fast? I'm only on my 2nd week and seems like I'm always hungry! Any good tips or advice?!
  9. Hey! I recently got banded in Dallas, TX but I live in Lubbock, TX. I am looking for someone in Lubbock or close to Lubbock to get fills. If anyone has ANY recommendations they would be greatly appreciated!! Good Luck to all the Bandsters out there!!
  10. I promise it will get better! It has been just 2 weeks for me and while I still experience the occasional pain...most of the gas pain has gone. At first the gas pain was the worst, all along my left side and it was concentrated in my left shoulder. Gas X was my best friend!! Walking is what really helped me...I would walk at least 10 minutes every hour. The gas pains only lasted about a week and a half thankfully. What got me through the rough start was thinking that this time next year I am going to be skinny and not afraid to put on a swimsuit in public!! haha...silly I know...but I need something to look forward to and to remind myself why I did this in the first place!! Good Luck on your journey!
  11. :smile2:Hey everyone! I was banded on the 9th of September!! I am new to this blog/forum thing too...so I dont really know what I am doing! haha. I started the "mushy" food stage today and it is going ok...feeling a little hungry so far, but I am pretty sure that is because I am not getting in my protein. Anyone have any easy ideas on how to get all your needed protein in?! One more thing....How do I get one of those ticker things that tracks your weight loss?
