  1. Going to another country to have surgery IS very nerve-wracking, especially for those that haven't done their homework and research like you have. There are a lot of stereotypes involved with having surgery in another country. In some cases they might be true, but NOT in all cases. You just have to trust in your research as well as your conversations with Dr. A, Ana, Natalie, and Alex. And don't forget about all of those positive video reviews where Mexico bariatric surgery patients have detailed their journey and raved about the experience.
  2. The first 3 days were absolutely the hardest. I had a constant headache and very low energy. I am on Day 5 now and I can say that it does get easier...at least it has for me. The first few days I kind of cheated by eating 1 salad with lean chicken or turkey in it. But with that said, many doctors allow that as part of their particular version of the pre-op diet so I don't consider it a complete fail...just an ad lib to my doctors recommendations. The Post-Op diet is quite consistent across the board for sleevers. However, the Pre-Op diet ranges from pure liquids for some to liquids plus a salad/lean meat for others to being able to eat whatever you want up until surgery. It is quite bewildering all of the differences among Pre-Op diets.
  3. I have been trying all different kinds of Protein powders and shakes. I think the variety helps. So far I have enjoyed the following (with the unjury chocolate Splendor being my favorite): Unjury Chocolate Splendor Unjury Chicken Soup Premier Chocolate shake Syntrax nectar Crystal Sky Syntrax Nectar Double Stuffed Cookie Syntrax Nectar Naturals Fruit Punch
  4. I am currently on my Pre-Op liquid diet for my Sleeve surgery next Friday. With that said, I purchased a lot of different unjury and Syntrax nectar Protein powders and Premier Protein shakes to see what I liked best. So far, I have actually liked all of the following: Unjury chocolate Splendor Unjury chicken Soup Premier Chocolate shake Syntrax Nectar Crystal Sky Syntrax Nectar Double Stuffed Cookie Syntrax Nectar Naturals Fruit Punch

  16. It is a funny name I made up 5 years ago and I actually like it...as do a few others based on their compliments. If we can't accept ourselves then no one else will either. With that said, I see you have over 6,000 posts, so do you have any helpful advice or information as I begin this journey? I personally think it is a great name. And I think it is awesome that someone can have fun with themselves and the name they pick. We all find humor and offense in different things. I know Fatty McFaster will succeed no matter what his name is or what anyone else thinks of it. Thank you. I appreciate that. Just 11 more days until my surgery!!!
