Pain under left breast
Oh yeah I forgot about the positioning! This definitely helps, at least for me it did! Try it, it really does help relieve the gas pain! Charco charco charco pills (also charcoal). This will help relieve the bubbles from traveling all around reducing some of your gas pain! A contiouns pain in neck and shoulders
Hi! I was banded awhile back, I suffered so much from this, and I tried everything! Everyone says rolaids and anything that’s a gas aide. None of these worked for me. Finally when I figured out how my body responded to each aid I ended up doing the same thing until it stopped. Most people say they stop feeling these symptoms after 2 weeks or so. I had it for SIX weeks. I cried so much because the pain was so intense. Eventually I found out that it’s a combination of things. First of all, remember your stomach is a grumpy lil patient, anything disrupts it! The first gas is usually what they pumped in you to expand your stomach. The other is the gas you internally are creating because of the changes inside. Your insides are irritated from the foreign object you just put in. causing gastritis, I suppose… The bubbles travel up your diaphragm pinching nerves and causing the tightness you feel which ends up hurting. My resolution was: I used suppositories(spelling ?) to relieve when I had some big-time gas, this gave me some relief when the gas was really intense. Secondly, every time I got ready for my liquids and soft food, I took a few drops of beano and if it still didn't work I'd go straight for the good stuff, charco pills (or charcoal). The powder in this pills fills the gas bubbles, and dissolves them same things goes for baking soda. Mix a tablespoon in an 8oz cup, this helps with the gas and the acid levels, they use this for food poisoning as well, it traps any food or gas. Finally don't eat any dairy products, these are brutal, at least for me it was. Watch your diet carefully. Carry some rolaids just in case (if it works for you) hope this helps somewhat! Frustrated with my (lack of) fills..
Hi, lauraj23! What a nightmare to keep having to go back. I guess I think each person requires different amounts according to their weight, height and really what your needs are? I believe my doctor does fills on any patient referred as I heard someone mention. All the fills are done under the fluro. (for a fee of course) so that you don't have to get poked around a million times. This can hurt. My first fill was very uncomfortable because my port is completely flipped over so the doctor had to position me a certain way. Now we know for future fills. I think it makes a huge difference if your under the fluro. because you can tell how much restriction you have when fills are done hence having the restriction you need. Not sure but you might want to check if your just throwing your money away and not really getting what you need. Anyhow, thats my own opinion but you should check around. Good luck! Pain under left breast
Hey! I'm not an expert but you gotta remember that your tummy is a very grumpy patient. Any change in your body will disrupt you internally. I had the same problem and it went away eventually. It was almost as I was bruising and it went up to my breast. More than likely its just from the whole surgery, your esophagus, the port, there may some swelling from your recent surgery. Everything is so close to each other it feels like its something else. You'll be ok, and if it continues for awhile, call your doctor! good luck! dehydrated- total unfill
I can totally relate to you because I was severely dehydrated as well. Not by choice, i couldn't keep anything down for about 1 month and even the Water intake was reduced where I could barely get 16oz the whole day. I finally just decided to get a complete unfill. I've been out for 1 month or so and now I'm eating like crazy. I can't wait to go back for a small fill because its like I let the beast out or something, LOL Banded <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:date Year="2007" Day="20" Month="12">12/20/07</st1:date><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p> Dr. Huacuz<o:p></o:p> Pre-opt weight 196<o:p></o:p> Current weight 145<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> 1st fill <st1:date Year="2007" Day="10" Month="2">02/10/07</st1:date> .5cc<o:p></o:p> 2nd fill <st1:date Year="2007" Day="14" Month="4">04/14/07</st1:date> .5cc<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p>

Gas In Cheast And Arms After Lap Band Surgery
Hi, When I got my surgery I cried so much in pain with this! My gas went on to 6 weeks. Even now and then i still get it when i eat vegetables and still hurts sometimes. I have a whole list of remedies but the best one that works quick is Charco (charcoal) pills. I found these at wal-mart. In fact these are so good, flight attendants carry these when someone has stomach problems or food poisening. These pills trap the bubbles and that feeling of bloatedness goes away. Hope this helps! Hair Loss/Wigs
I found that Nioxin works well for me. I was already losing my hair before the surgery, so I started losing even more after. Someone on here mentioned Nioxin. It has worked well. It stops your hair from falling any further and it strenghtens your follicles. I love this stuff it tingles too. Lots of Luv- Alice Banded 12/20/06 Fill 02/03/07-1cc Dr. Huacuz- Tijuana, Mexico [/url

Port Discomfort
Chubster 808, wow that sucks! I had my first fill on 2/3/07. My port is completely flipped as well. I had the fill done under fluroroscopy and after several attempts the doctor finally figured out how to fill me. that sounds funny... Anyhow, he had to position me practically upside down with my head towards the floor. Then he had to poke me a few times which was very uncomfortable. Wow what an experience, I'm hoping it turns back around when I go back because I think I might need another fill soon. Can't stop eating either. December Bandsters in February!
Hello all, I've haven't been on for awhile. I am having such a hard time. I can't get nothing down in the mornings but after about 12 pm or so, I can't stop eating. I am sooooo hungry I want to eat everything I see. I don't want to gain any weight back, so I'm obsessing over the darn food. HELP! I need encouraging words. Everyone else seems to say "well you wanted this, so deal with it" I need a positive note! After the first fill, how much..
KimFrmSealy, I totally agree with you. I got my first fill on 2/2. I have no restriction as far as my tummy goes. Somedays I can eat like when I wasn't banded. Other times my esophagus feels so swollen I can't pass anything. I am having a hard time with this. Maybe I need to get another fill so I could stop eating so much. Gas Pain....what to do????
Walking didn't work for me at all, it was just too painful. I had gas for 7weeks which is unusual. I tried everything. So try this and see if it works.. this is what I did. 1) used a fleet suppository (this relieved alot of the pressure temporarily of course) you will hear the gates of heaven when the gas comes out. 2) Lie on your back without a pillow (that way the gas bubbles aren't trapped) 3) take something to help you, (I will attach the remedies but the charco pills worked the best for before and after meals) 4) Use a hot pack on your shoulder (relieves it temp.) Good luck! Remedies Folk Betaine hydrochloric acid will help digest excess food that your digestive system can't handle on its own and help relieve gas, bloating, and an upset stomach. Older people especially are low in this very necessary acid. Take 1-2 tablets with any large meal. Pancreatic enzymes will also be helpful. Carbonated Water It encourages belching to relieve the gas. Celery seeds Chew (but don't swallow) a teaspoon of seeds. This remedy is supposed to provide quick relief. Chamomile helps improve digestion and aids in expelling trapped gas in the digestive tract. Make a tea by pouring one cup of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of the dried herb; cover; steep for fifteen minutes; strain. This remedy is excellent for babies who have colic, too. Give the baby 1/4 cup of tea diluted with an equal amount of water in a bottle before each feeding. Charcoal, activated Activated charcoal will bind to the gas. Take two tablets before and after meals. Do not take with other medications, supplements, or birth control pills, as it binds to them, too. Do not use on a long term basis, only for temporary relief. Fennel helps improve digestion and aids in expelling trapped gas in the digestive tract. Ginger Mix one teaspoon of fresh grated ginger with one teaspoon of lime juice; take immediately after eating. Pancreatic enzymes will aid digestion and help relieve gas, bloating, and an upset stomach. Take as directed. Peppermint The herb peppermint, either in tea form or chewing the leaves, will relax the intestines and make it easier for the gas to escape. Peppermint is a carminative, which is a substance that removes accumulated gas from the stomach and intestines. Make a tea by pouring one cup of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons of the dried herb; cover; steep for fifteen minutes; strain. This remedy is excellent for babies who have colic, too.
