  1. Please go get a fill. I'm in the same situation as you are. I've made an appoitment to get my band filled again. You've come a long way in your journey. Don't sabotage your self any longer.
  2. Hi Xavier, I've learned from my mistakes (sometines). That happened to me too a while ago. I ate a piece of a French bagette and I thought for a minute that I would have to go to the ER. I literally had to gag myself to get rid of the piece of bread that was stuck in my esophagus. Once I had rid of it I was in such much pain that I was hurting for at least 2 days straight. Bread scares my band. But at this moment my band is unfilled and I have been eating bready stuff. I gained 5 pounds. I'm going to the doctor's office on Friday for a fill. I need my restriction back !!!!
  3. I'm sorry to hear that you had a set back. Did your shoulder pain go awau at least ? Are you on a liquid diet and soft foods for the next 6 weeks ?When did you get your initial lap band surgery?
  4. Yes, it's crazy. I feel like such a gluton. I mean, it's actually a nice feeling to have a full stomach and endulge in foods that were previously painful to eat ! I'm glad i can share my feelings on this blog. Nobody at works know I have a lap band. Only my mother and my boyfriend know. But seriously, I can't wait to get my band filled. It's like I've totally lost control over what i eat !!! And in reality the 5 pounds that I've gained aren't even that bad , but it feels like the end of the world !
  5. I'm glad to hear that you are healing form your surgery. I hope that your shoulder pain has lessen. A little over a week ago I had to rush to see the doctor because I was throwing up everything and couldn't even drink water. I thought my band had slipped. I couldn't stop crying on the way to see the doctor. I imagined the worst. Thank God it was only a minor slip, which somehow fixed itself once I was unfilled and once the stomach irritation subsided. I have no restriction now and have eaten like there's no tomorrow. I've put on about 5 pounds in one week, which is terrible ! I go back to see the doctor in 3 days. Hopefully he will fill my band enough to feel some restriction. I love my band, but I think I "abused" it by not treating it well and I have to admit that I broke the "band rules". The fear that it had slipped was like a wake up call. I'm just mad at myself because I have eaten so much with my band unfilled. Hopefully by Friday evening I can have more control over what I eat, after the doctor fills me up a bit. I can image how you felt before your revision surgery. It's a scary thought to have a slipped band. I wish you the best in your healing process. When do you back to see the doctor to fill your band again (like at the very beginning of your lap band journey?) Best of Luck to you, Adriana (a.k.a "Birdie" ).

  8. PLEASE get an attorney ! I'm sure stuff like thay happens all the time! We just don't know .
  9. What made your band slip so bad ? Can't they just fix it so that you don't have to be de-banded?
  10. Thanks for sharing the formula. It's very helpful !
  11. Good luck with your surgery. Sorry to hear you have to go through surgery all over again. But I'm sure the 2nd time around will be a lit easier for you. At least you know what to expect. What happened that your band slipped ? Is it currently unfilled ? What do you eat while it' s unfilled ?
