  1. Happy 33rd Birthday Cuppy!

  2. Happy 32nd Birthday Cuppy!

  3. 1 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 1st Anniversary Cuppy!

  4. I am only 11 days post-op but today I am STARVING! I had cottage cheese for breakfast and before lunch I was already hungry and had to get a few more bites of the cheese. For lunch I had a large meatball (it was soft and well ground.) and here I am 4 hours later hungry and rummaging around the kitchen! Am I already healed to the point were I am lacking restriction? Will I be insatiable until my first fill?
  5. I was banded in Mexico (cheaper but scarier!) My Doc was Dr. Miguel Zapata. He was very nice, but it was a unique experience having surgery in a country were you are unable to communicate with everyone!

  6. I'm not far from you here in Dallas! Oh gosh, it's all I think about so I'm very anxious. I'll be going on vacation smack in the middle of Nov so if I got banded in oct, my first fill would be the week we leave and that just made me nervous and I get more paid days off soon! I wish you all the best! Who is your Dr?

  7. Hi Allie, I'm in Waco. It's going to be anxious waiting for Dec., right?

  8. Hey Cuppy! Saw your post today, welcome! I'll be banded in Dec. Couldnt get some time off until then. Where in TX are you from?

  9. I must not be navagating the site properly because I just now saw all of these replies! Glad to know that lots of people have similar experiences and that we all have our questions. For the record, the day after I posted about the weight loss I stopped losing! Go figure! I have been the same for 2 days now, but I had transitioned from liquids to mushy foods, so I guess I'm not too surprised. ALSO, after making my gas complaints public, it seems to have become much less of a pain. I can only remember feeling it 2 times yesterday and only once so far today. MUCH BETTER! Don't know if I'm on the same page as anyone else here, but I have one small frustration. I've lost this 17lbs, with is no small amount and yet my clothes seem to be just as snug as they were pre-op.??? If others lose 17lbs they drop a whole dress size. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. I know that water weight is a major factor, but I guess i'm already a little anxious about getting a few visable results. Got to remind myself that this is not an overnight process! Good luck to all you other newbies and thank you for all your responses. If anyone would like to conversate feel free to private message. I get e-mail notification of those and can respond a little more quickly! <3 Mandy
  10. Hi Gabbi, my name is Mandy and I'd be glad to correspond.

    What's on your mind?

  11. Hi Cuppy, This is Gabbi :)

Just wondering if maybe we can share stories and what not since our surgery dates are so close to each other.

    Let me know!

    hugs

    gabbi :)

  12. First offical post...newly banded! I am a 30yr old female living in TX. I have a 4 year old daughter and I am unmarried. THE BAND... Only one week out and still in some discomfort. Dealing with trapped gas in my left shoulder area. Hopefully it will all get better as the days go by. I was looking for other newbies to compare my experiences with. In this fist week I dropped 17lbs. Is it normal to drop so quickly the first week? Will I gain in back when I begin eating "real" foods? Anyone at the same stage looking for someone to share experiences, storys, questions, concerns with...let me know!
