  1. Hi, everyone: This is my first post. I was just banded yesterday, 09/13/10! I felt lousy when I came home from the surgery center (four hour stay included recovery room). Today I'm feeling pretty good, except for a slightly swollen jaw area along with a little pain at the incision/puncture sites. I have to put my hand on top of the area if I feel a anything sudden coming my way -- like a sneeze, etc. I do have some pain in my mid-chest area if I'm taking a deep breath. Feels something like having a bruised rib and you took a deep breath; sligtly painful. Also, I just started my Protein drinks using Clear liquids. No problem with Breakfast which was 8 oz of low fat chicken broth and unflavored protein. But, I just had strawberry protein blended with Water and a few ice cubes for lunch; and low and behold, I got heartburn (which I never, ever get). Called the doctor's office and they old me to also take a Prilosec in the afternoon. The strawberry drink was very, very frothy and I'm wondering whether that could have been a factor. I'll see tomorrow. If anyone has experienced either of my two factors noted above, please let me know. Take care.
