Looking For Post Surg People With Approx 100 Lbs To Lose/or Losing
How have you been foxbins? Looks like you are doing GREAT!!!! It is so amazing how our sleeve works. I never thought in a million years I would be wearing a 6/8 misses. I haven't been this small in 16-17 years. It feels sooooooo GREAT not to be tired at the end of the day. Enjoy your weekend! Deb

Looking For Post Surg People With Approx 100 Lbs To Lose/or Losing
Good Friday morning all!! I started with exactly 100 pounds to lose 5,1". As of today I am down 94 pounds. ( I haven't updated my ticker in awhile) I am 16 months post op. I was what they considered a "light weight". However, weighing 139 pounds today seems so sur-real to me. I have co-workers that have had the sleeve and they were two to three times heavier than me. And are 3,4 and 5 months post op and have lost an amazing amount of weight. I agree that following the post op diet and exercising is key in losing the weight. For me when I reached my 8 month is slowed way down. For several months now I have been struggling to lose my last few pounds. It isn't easy by no means. Dedication and a lot of right food choices and exercise is paramount. I wish everyone much success in their journey!!! Have a stellar weekend all!!! Deb

Last Five Pounds......
Thanks Coops! Yes I have a two pound bounce all month long then BAM!!!! I'm hit with a five pound gain during TOM. Other than that I'm happy. Glad I didn't decide to go with what my surgeon determined to be my "ideal" weight. (122 pounds) I have weighed my goal weight before (135 pounds) Thats why I believe it isn't an unattainable weight to reach and be at. I went shopping for some new jeans and I was shocked to see that I canwear either a size 6 or an 8 in misses. So I am happy, however, I would be uber happy with 5 pounds less. LOL... We will see where I land. Thanks everyone! Deb

Last Five Pounds......
No, not unhappy. Frustrated is what I am. The goal weight is my personal goal not my surgeons. It is not unattainable for me. I know plateaus are common. Just so over the last five pounds. LOL... Just thinking I'm doing something wrong that is keeping me from reaching my goal. Thanks everyone! Deb

Last Five Pounds......
Hi everyone. I have been away for awhile. The last five pounds is the DEVIL!!!! I have done everything from change in what foods I eat to what days I do cardo and weights, how much Water I'm taking in. I have journaled everything for the last 16 months. Yep nothing, nada, zilch. This is so frustrating now. Sixteen months post op and I'll be damned if the last five pounds will win. LOL!!!! If anyone has any suggestions by all means let me know. This has got to be hardest part. Thanks everyone!!!! Deb

Seasoned Sleevers
Amen Foxbins......I too don't push my sleeve. I eat 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. No more than 3 ounces of chicken, fish or beef. This is what I have found that keeps me in check. I do eat veges, just can't fit much in after eating the Protein. I do not deny myself any sweets either. I just consume less, way less. I have found that over time I can't tolerate sweets as often or as much as I could pre-sleeve. I don't have a desire to have desssert every night. I can't eat bread. It feels way too heavy. Rice and Pasta I am holding off until I am ready. Not sure if it will feel heavy or leave my sleeve feeling too tight. Like overeating. I too think sure I can eat more but why would I??? I am so grateful that I have this tool. When you know what you can and can not eat. It makes the food choices much easier. (Found out at Easter, I can not tolerate a reeses Peanut Butter cups anymore. Way too sweet and it tasted aweful!!!! Blessing in disguise maybe????) You will figure out what works for you. Deb

Worried About Weight Loss
Just keep doing what you are doing. Walking is an excellent form of exercise. Until your surgeon releases you to do more strenous exercise. I hit stalls all the time. They go just as quickly as they come. Try to be patient the loss will start up again. I was in a stall for a month and bam! The scale started moving again. Liquids are our friend. Be sure to get plenty of fluids in. Don't skip meals and be sure to get in the protein too. Good luck!! Deb

Wise And Successful Sleevers Please Give Me Your Input
I eat protein, a lot of it. (Or I atleast try 80-90 grams) Baked, grilled fish is common in our house. Chicken, turkey and lean ground beef. I do eat steak as well. I do limit the amount of carbs. Still try to keep between 20 and 30 grams a day. My caloric intake has increased a bit. I am still losing. If I had my way, my meals would consit of all protein. I do eat some veges. I love, love, love watermelon. Breakfast is usually one egg either scrambbled or hard boiled. 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. Snacks I try to keep a container of mixed nuts and take a handful in a baggie as a snack. and some fresh fruit and veges to munch on. That usually will satisfy the need to have something crunchy. Instead of potato chips I can eat baby carrots and or a few slices of cucumber. It is all a matter of what works for you. Some can do more carbs than others. Some do all protein. The most important thing (To me anyway) is exercise. That is what incorperated with the "diet" ( I prefer to call it the new lifestyle) is what makes everyone successful with the sleeve. Best of luck!!! Have a stellar weekend everyone!!!!! Deb

New Friend Issues.
Yes I have been going through that for the last seven months. A lot of men where I work have been checking me out. At first it was annoying. Now I just laugh it off. A year ago none of them would've given me a second look. Its okay, I don't let it bother me. In fact, It makes me laugh now. Deb

Almost There
I haven't been around much I know. I have been trying to get to goal. Since I have started to measure my meals and fluids again I have dropped three pounds this week. I did forget just how important this was for me. I also lowered my carb intake to twenty upped the protein to just under 90. That and doing more weights. So just eight more to go!!! I am so excited!! I have an appointment with the surgeon for my one year on April 9th. I hope I will be close to goal! Going back to basics wasn't so bad. Hope everyone has a stellar weekend!!

Crazy Nsv
Hi everyone! I just wanted to stop by and share this crazy NSV. I was with my mom and husband, we were at a dealership looking around. The sales man approached and asked if he could assist. I was looking at a truck and my mom an husband were looking at a sedan. Well my mom joined me and my husband was talking with the salesman.( Anyway to shorten this story) the salesman thought my mom and husband were married and I was their daughter. When my husband revealed that I was in fact his wife the salesman responded, "lucky you" I was laughing so hard it was awesome!! My mom was shaking her head. I'm 46 my husband is 55 and my mom is 76. All I have to say is priceless.
