  1. I am new here and to the lapband. I dont know how long this experience takes prior to having surgery. Can you all fill me in on what I have to do? I have been on a diet for about a year already. Have had heart workup, blood and even psych evail and that was just for SSD. LOL I have back and spine problems which I had a trilevel cervical disectomy done in Feb and now am facing surgery on my hip. Im hoping to get the Lapband before I have to go in for this surgery to see if the wieght loss will make it better. If I sound like Im falling apart I am. LOL Still in a pretty good mindset though, I just want this weight off. I dont eat a lot I just dont eat right or excercise. I cant at this time, as its hard to even sit or stand too long but I still work at a desk job. Everyone that has advice please give it. And thank you ahead of time.
