can't stay on the diet...not losing weight !!

Remind your doctor that if you could control your eating on your own you wouldn't have needed the lapband in the first place. Tell him you need a fill and if he doesn't work with you get another doctor!

nonfat sugar free vanila ice coffee?

YES THEY'RE BAD FOR YOU!!! You need healthy protein. You should be drinking chicken broth, protein shakes (think Atkins, Weight Watchers, SugarFree Boost, etc), cream soups with protein powder mixed in, sugarfree Jello. Didn't your surgeons give you a sample menu?
  3. YAY for you!!! Don't worry you'll be fine. Believe me it was much less painful than I thought it would be. And I've been waiting for a month for "complications" to happen and nothing, everything is going smoothly.

    COMPULSION to eat?

You will always have a compulsion to eat. That's why you have a plastic band around your stomach! I call it food addiction, I'm a food addict, and my brain says feed me almost constantly. The band isn't going to take that feeling away, it would have to be on your brain for that....hmm I wonder... Anyway I am a fairly new band also, got banded on 8/17/10, and I find sugarfree popsicles (15 calories) and sugarfree Jello (5 calories) helps a lot. It satisfies my want to chew and swallow which for me I think makes my brain happy. Try these or other very low calorie chewable things, it will help. I'm told that within a couple of months your brain gets in sync with your stomach and stops demanding food all the time.

    protein shakes

I just found Boost glucose control shakes. I hate the taste of protein shakes and have tried many, ugh! I was desperate the other day and I have samples of Boost in my office, so I thought why not try it. I did and it tasted great, no aftertaste. But you need to get the glucose control ones because the regular has too many calories.

    Post fill day 1

Well I survived my first fill, yay. Feeling fine today, down to 222 on the scale. Not having any problem eating thin cream of wheat this morning and not hungry now. I am more optimistic that this is really going to work for me. Lost 17lbs since my surgery on 8/17/10 yay!
