    Wednesday January 5, 2011 3rd day of Atkins Induction (went a little over on my carbs for the day) Breakfast~ 3 slices of bacon, 2 eggs topped with 1/4 cup of shredded cheese Snack~1 serving of Habanero BBQ almonds Lunch~Tilapia on top of a bed of lettuce with 1 serving of reduced fat feta cheese, Ranch Spritzer Salad dressing and laughing cow cheese wedge and another serving of bbq almonds and string cheese Snack~Dark Chocolate Atkins Protein Shake Dinner~1 avocado and 1 serving of mozzarella and garlic stuffed weenies (from Sam's so delicious) Walked for 45 mins Drank 101 oz of water Calories~1,425 Carbs~26 Protein~82.6

    Tuesday January 4, 2011 2nd day of Atkins Induction Breakfast-2 scrambled eggs with 1/4 cup of grated cheese and 3 slices of bacon and 2 cups of coffee with 2 servings of regular coffee creamer Snack-Atkins Caramel Chocolate Peanut Nougat Bar Lunch-4 oz of tilapia on top of a bed of lettuce 1/3 cup of reduced fat feta cheese and 10 sprays of salad spritzer dressing (ranch) Snack-EAS Advantage Low Carb Strawberry Protein Shake Dinner-3 1/2 oz of ground beef topped with 1/4 cup of grated cheese 1/2 of an avocado and 2 tbsp of salsa and later had 1 serving of 100 calories almonds Calories-1,458 Carbs-23.5 (went over a little but no biggie) Protein-119g Got on the scale this morning and down 6 lbs in 2 days

    It's been hard doing Atkins with the headaches and being so tired from the lack of Carbs but I believe I can do it and it will be worth it in the long run. You're doing great going from a size 18 to a size 2! Keep it up!

    Monday January 3, 2011 I haven't been on the boards lately due to lack of willpower. Here I am. My Fiance and I have started the Induction phase of Atkins yesterday. I've got to get my weight off one way or another so here goes yesterday's menu: Breakfast-EAS Advantage Carb Control Strawberry Protein Shake Snack-Atkins Advantage Caramel Chocolate Peanut Nougat Bar Lunch-2/3 cup of chicken salad made with 1 tbsp of light mayo on top of 1 1/2 cups of romanie lettuce and 10 sprays of Ranch Salad Spritzer dressing and 1 hardboiled egg and 6 thin slices of turkey lunch meat with 2 tbsp of light cream cheese Snack-Atkins Advantage Caramel Chocolate Peanut Nougat Bar Dinner- Boiled Egg and Lemon Pepper seasoned chicken breast Calories-1,114 Carbs-15.7 Protein-128g 48 oz of water

    Ok Clair here are a few recipes I've found: Black Bean Soup-15 oz black beans drained, 1/2 cup mild salsa, and 1 cup of chicken broth. Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse until very smooth. It's really good. You can even add a dab of sour cream on top. Chicken Tortilla Soup-1 can of cream of chicken soup, 1 can of cheddar cheese soup, 1/2 can of mild enchilada sauce, 1 cup of skim milk. Again you may add a dab of sour cream. It is soooo good.... Pumpkin Protein Shake-1/4 cup of pumpkin puree, 1 cup of skim milk, 1 scoop of protein powder, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, 2 tbsp of splenda, 1/4 cup of cool whip, 1 cup of ice cubes Hope you get to try these. I highly recommend them :thumbup:

    Today~ Breakfast~ Turkey Sausage Bowl Snack~3 Wheat Thins, 1 laughing cow garlic and herb cheese wedge, and 3 thin sliced turkey lunch meat Lunch~Grilled Cheese Sandwich with 1 slice of pepperjack cheese and 3 slices of thin sliced lunch meat & 1/2 small banana mixed w/1 tbsp of peanut butter Snack~1 serving of jello mousse Dinner~1 cup of Marie Callendars Chicken, Spinach, and Mushroom Lasagna (so delicious) Snack~100 calorie kettle popcorn bag and 1 snack size bag of sour cream and onion chips (darn night munchies) Total Calories~1,321 Total Carbs~122 Total Protein~68

    Raquel-I feel your pain. I love food more than anything and I too have gained almost all of my weight mostly due to getting comfortable when I met my fiance and going out to eat alot etc etc. I finally got to the point where I was like OMG why do I keep doing this to myself? I paid $12k for this surgery and you think that would have been enough to stick with it. I lost 80 lbs before and I can do it again only this time around I WILL stick to it. I too had a stretched pouch and went on a three day liquid diet and can feel a little more restriction. Trust me the liquids will shrink your pouch and you will feel alot better. We are all in this together and we WILL succeed.

    Ok I've been really good all week so I weighed myself Friday and gained 2 lbs. I was so pissed and wanted to give up but didn't. I weighed myself again yesterday and lost 7 lbs!!! I had to weigh 3 times to believe it myself. Trust me if I can do this anyone can:thumbup:

    Well I only completed 3 days of liquids but have really been good. Chewing my food very slowly so I get full faster. I managed to lose 7 lbs this week. I have to keep at it...I can do this...

    Back on the Bandwagon

    Ok so here is a little background on my adventures in being banded. I got banded on November 28, 2006 and initially lost 80 lbs and since have gained all but 10 lbs back. I know that my pouch is dialted. I found out this past summer and he told me to go on a liquid diet for two weeks which I never did (stupid me). But here I am and I'm commited to doing this no matter what. It's either I sit here and feel sorry and ashamed of myself or I do something about it. It won't be fun but it's a must because I paid way too much money to just give up on myself. So today is day 1 wish me luck :-)

    Saturday (got on the scale and have lost 7 lbs this week) Breakfast-1 fried egg, 2 pieces of bacon, 1 slice of natures own bread w 1tbsp of light butter and coffee with 1 single serving of mocha latte creamer Lunch-I was out and about so made a Strawberry Banana Shake for the road Snack-brought some healthy snacks on the road which was 7 organic baby carrots, 1 string cheese, and 3 thinly sliced turkey lunch meat Dinner-Went and had sushi 8 pieces and shared some japan nachos Walked for 2 hours and burned 413 calories Net calories for the day 819 calories, 64g protein and 150 carbs (not bad for a Saturday)

    I did 3 days of liquids but I was supposed to do a week. I feel more restriction and am watching my portion sizes however it is that time of the month so I haven't seen much movement on the scale. I'm going to start eating a lot of fish and veggies for a jump start and hopefully will start to shed some pounds. Good luck on the liquids. They are no fun. I love solid food so much now after all liquids:thumbup:
