  1. Hi all! Just catching up here. I had my preadmissions stuff at the hospital today. They were calling me by the wrong first name....that made me nervous. I was glad to get the straightened out and avoid getting some other sort of procedure. Looks like everyone is doing well. Our pre-op is pretty laid back. I haven't been following it well, because it is pretty lose. So, I think I am going to self impose some liquid protein shake for most of the meals just to help control myself. Looking forward to hearing everyone's war stories as they start recovery. I want to know how it feels and what's happening! If nothing else it will take away some of the fear of the unknown.... Have great weekends - and for those of us in the US - long weekends! Paige
  2. hi all! I'm going sept 16th and can't wait to just get to that date, you know? I'm excited and nervous. My dh was banded in december, so that helps a little with the anxiety. Mr. Nov - if you go to a site called tickerfactory.com you can make the little countdown thing there. then you cut and paste the code into your signature.
  3. Sunny day - we're band twins! 9-16 for me too. I had my pre op diet meeting this past week, but I don't have to do full on liquids, just limited calorie, fat, higher protein kind of stuff. I go Mon for my physical at my regular dr. Then I meet with the nutritionist again the day after labor day. Oh, and go to the hospital for my pre-op there next week. I would call on Monday and just ask if you need to set up any appointments or come in at all
  4. Hi all!! I'm new around here. My surgery is set for September 16th. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and being in a network of support. I'm going to do a little reading and lurking and catching up on the boards here, but wanted to through out my first question to you all. How open are you being with people about what you are doing? Are you telling everyone? telling just family and close friends? Paige
