  1. Yea that's about the only time I do get hungry. So I usually have something small a few hours after dinner. Usually oatmeal, or sometimes I'll just have like a fudgical or something.
  2. following I have one too! http://heatherslapband.blogspot.com/
  3. Yea, it's just healing, and you can't exercise vigorously yet. I've been lose about 1-2 pounds a week since surgery. What Vicky said, if you don't eat enough you won't lose either, your body need something to burn.
  4. You could blend a taco I think with extra salsa, I've been having some ground turkey, with salsa and melt a little cheese on top, does the same effect for me, sometimes I'll crack some shells in it. (or I do ground turkey with marinara and mozzarella)
  5. My soft food stage the one after puree's allows crackers and toast. I mean if you chew up a cracker it completely mushes, thats why babies eat them. I've been having some crackers with my chicken salad for lunch though i'm finding I'm getting addicted to having crackers, so maybe it's not the best idea.
  6. We have a December thread most of us post in there! I'm sorry that you're hungry are you getting in your protein??
  7. I don't spend 30 minutes, but I just chew it well and slow down as much as I can. I realistically take 15-20 minutes. Depending on what I'm eating.
  8. Well obviously on clear liquids you'd be hungry! The pressure is weird, I don't have a fill yet but I'm full but full feeling doesn't last very long, doesn't mean I'm hungry though. Where as before when I'd eat a ton that feeling would last a long time.
  9. I disagree. I'm not hungry personally, my stomach doesn't growl unless I go past meal times, or I eat something improper. I was never hungry before op either, I just ate for whatever reason, or because I liked food. YES it's very hard to resist food. That we need to learn. I think the problem with the board is everyone just giving opinions and their experiences, it's not the same for everyone and we aren't experts. I'm a month into this, I'm not sick, I haven't puked, I don't hurt at all, I'm not hungry. All the things I read that I should be. haha. People are scared they want answers. Yes, there is some stupidity, and some ridiculous questions like why can I eat 4 cups of food... but you know just ignore it or help them out. This particular "post op" forum for me, seems like newbies.. you aren't immediately post op if you had it years ago. These questions are what I expect to see here. Everyone's experience is different.
  10. Hmm, yea but I could eat more, so I'm policing myself. BUT I'm not getting hungry at all in between.
  11. I'm kinda confused as to what that even means... I know it sounds silly, but what am I supposed to feel after all these fills? I'm not hungry now... will I just get fuller faster?
  12. Or at least a sample of a menu. I'm always concerned if i'm eating too much or not enough.
  13. This is one of my days of food... Or to generalize it, Maybe 3 meals, 300 calories or less each, then 1 or 2 snacks 100 calories or less. This is "soft" foods, haven't ventured into solids yet, (gotta go shopping, but i'm sure this will work) 1/4 Cup Egg Beaters (30 cal, 6 protein) 1/2 serving 2% mexican blend cheese (40 cal, 3.5 protein) 1 tbsp Salsa Verde (5 cal, 0 protein) 1 packet oatmeal (120 cal, 4 protein) 1 tsp of Brown Sugar (15 cal, 0 protein) (I made oatmeal because i realized 1 serving of egg beaters was way to small! and I really like breakfast) 1/2 cup Fresh & Easy Cranberry Chicken Salad (~180 cal, 11 protein) 5 Water crackers (90 cal, 2 protein) "Taco Salad" 1/2 Cup Ground extra lean ground turkey (120 cal, 26 protein) 2 tbsp Salsa Verde (10 cal, 0 protein) 1 serving 2% mexican blend cheese (80 cal, 7 protein) 1 tbsp lite sour cream (40 cal, 2 protein) 1 whole grain taco shell smashed (55 cal , 2 protein) (then I broiled the top if you were curious ahha, or i'll do that with mozzarella and pasta sauce) Later I had more "taco salad" with less stuff 1/2 Cup Ground extra lean ground turkey (120 cal, 26 protein) 2 tbsp Salsa Verde (10 cal, 0 protein) 1/2 serving 2% mexican blend cheese (40 cal, 3.5 protein) 1 tbsp lite sour cream (40 cal, 2 protein) 995 calories, 63 protien 40 minutes of cardio burned about ~300+ calories
  14. Maybe, or just don't eat it!! I know it's hard, but you gotta make your eating conscious. Bring your lunch, or I'm sure at a deli you could make something healthy.
  15. It should be fine, you can find something anywhere to eat. Just eat much less of it. I'm sure even at the mess hall (or whatever they call it) they have protein, and veggies...
  16. Haha, I got a really nice watch for hanukkah, and now it's twirling on my wrist. Not exactly where I'd like to lose weight, but I'll take it haha
  17. Yea that's the wrong way of looking at it. Don't test it!! Eat your half cup of food, drink your water! Or you won't change your lifestyle and you won't lose weight.
  18. I was pretty blindsided by the pain, I didn't think it would be that bad. I was fine after about 4 days, back to normal. Just walk around that will help the shoulder pain and gas pain subside.
  19. I'm 25, just make your own food, i always did in college, don't worry about them! I think this would of been a bonus in college, food is so much cheaper haha. I get 5 meals out of a package of ground meat. Or if you have group dinners, just puree what they are eating, or eat just a little bit of it (obviously when you can eat)
  20. This. I'm never really "hungry" which is good. I feel like I'm eating enough food. I'm starting to think a lot of this journey is mental. I'm gonna check out fitday.com
  21. There are some good journeys on youtube I watched some the other day! I wish there was a standard for everyone that was the same. Also I feel like I was banded, the it's just like ::waves:: go lose weight now... like I feel like I want more support! Feels too easy.
  22. I like the EAS Myoplex lite in Choc and Vanilla the best.
  23. My doctor said 1200-1500mcg chewable calcium citrate (daily), 1 chewable multivitamin daily, and 1200mcg of b-12 sublingual (once a week)
