I also went to Dr.Aceves and see your questions wer,e answered. I only had an issue once with what one of the nurses was asking me, he went and got his iphone and translated it haha. Besides that, we had no issues. They were all fantastic!

I was a band to sleeve revision with Dr.Aceves on March 22. I met Amanda quickly while I was there too. Great experience. He wasnt my original choice, but felt safer going to him. Glad I did as I had some issues and he was great!! His team has been excellent with any post op questions I have had as well.

I had revision as well last week from band to sleeve and already love it. My port was a pain in the butt

I used my ipad a lot. I had it set up so my kids and I could facetime. I also watched netflix a bit and read. I was pretty comfortable though and didnt have a ton of pain. I went to Dr.Aceves so I wanted to be sure my kids and Icould keep in contact

Mine wasnt pure hell. I had it done on the 22nd and honestly it was the easiest surgery Ive had and I have had a few. Depends on each person and who their surgeons were as well. I even travelled a long way 3 days after and it wasnt bad at all.

Im older but this came up on recent topics. I seriously advise the sleeve over band. I was just revised to the sleeve last week and feel better already than I did with the band. My port drove me crazy and it caused a lot of other issues. If youd like to avoid a 2nd surgery later, I highly suggest the sleeve after having it for some many years and meeting tona of people who have revised or havent but plan too. Good luck!

I was sleeved on the 22nd. Brooth is still my friend. I remember how I gated brooth after being banded. Funny how things change. I do not miss my port!

Guess who had preop tests today, surgery tomorrow and started their period tonight. I brought the goods just in case! Hope you were able to get some!

Pretty sure it just absorbed. So wasnt worth it lol it was really sore for awhile!!! I have a high pain tolerance too. Wont be doing that ever again haha

I had this done after I had lapband (a year later). It is a few years later and you can barely tell. I have had several sergeries and having the fat injected was the worst pain out of all of them. So wasnt worth the pain and I dont recommend it to anyone for the results

Google Alberta Health Services Out Of Country and you will get their out of country services form fill it out and submit what it tells you to. You will get some money back, it seems to vary from person to person. I got $1700 back from my band. I havent submitted for my revision yet. I know others who have got back anywhere from $1600-$2100

I can not wait to not have a port. Its very annoying when my toddlerbumps it.

I cant see more nutrient issues with thesleeve than the band. I have waymore issues with the band whenI throw everything up constantly. Id rather go threw pregnany again with a sleeve vs how bad it was with my band. Good luck
