Can't Eat Today

I was sleeved March 25 and have been doing great until today. I just can't eat. My chest hurts and everything just sits right there. This is new to me, but does anyone else have experience with it? I'm getting in the last of a 12 ounce, 42g protein shake, but I started it this morning. I feel nauseous and off-balance, like I am drunk (totally not).

Oh, that's a hard one Jolie!

I know that in the first month to two, I had days where I felt queasy all day and had a hard time with food...

Not sure of that's what your feeling through.

Are you getting water in??

Yes to the water, and it's half water, half isopure, so I know I'm getting something. My boobs hurt, too. A lot. So maybe this is just gearing up for a cycle. I have an iud, so don't normally have those. Lol. I forget what it feels like.

Aha!! That might be your cuprit your cycles can be really messed up right after surgery!

Same thing happened to me its the isopure. Ditch it. Artificial sweetener to boot. Made me taste acid in my mouth. Went away when the isopuke did. I ate half a piece of toast severe pain and puked. Than problem went away. Its not good for you. It says it is though.

Do a search on iud's also.. I think I remember reading about a lot of mishaps with those after surgery.. I never paid attention to the particulars though, being a old woman no longer having kids I didn't care :P

I believe somebody said their iud fell out aftwr major weight loss. I found out preop that I was pregnant and I couldn't figure out how since I have a mirena iud. Make sure your iud is in place still!

It showed up in my pre-op but will be checking as often as, um, necessary. Thanks!

I think sometimes we are like pregnant women! All I wanted was gumbo. So I made some and just ate the juice. Lol!

I was sleeved the 22nd and felt that way yesturday. Complete crap. I feel way better todat, I hope you feel better tomorrow!

Thanks, Kakaw. After my gumbo I feel good again. :)

So much of this is a mind game. I really felt horrible but when I think about it, I feel worse. When I think positives, I feel better.

I had an iud as well not once but twice it slipped so everyone that has an iud should have the placement checked very frequently!!!

Isopure is typically well tolerated after surgery. I wasn't a fan of the taste especially while in ketosis. But it was better then nothing. Most docs recommend sugar free soon after surgery, which will have some form of artificial sweetener.

I wouldn't advise someone to ditch something that isn't causing the problem for them.

To the op I found that if my tummy was not happy that day I would do diluted juice. When I had my cycle right after surgery I found diluted white grape juice helped a lot. I would alternate the juice and Protein. I'm not sure what stage in the diet you are in, but those might help the angry tummy.

Hope your feeling better soon!! :-)
